James Haskell, 40, reveals a noticeably slimmer physique as former rugby player lets his hair down at Wimbledon rooftop party
On Monday night, James Haskell appeared significantly thinner while assisting with the inauguration of Wimbledon.
At 601 Queens Road in south-west London, the retired rugby player, noticeably less muscular than before, attended an event – Lady Wimbledon’s Rooftop Tennis Party – where numerous guests were enjoying themselves and letting their hair down.
In a nod to his leaner figure, the ex-England flanker Haskell, aged 40, chose to sport a snug-fitting t-shirt, drawing additional focus on his transformation, while he was previously playing for London Wasps.
On Monday night, the ex-athlete who loves a good time took center stage for some enjoyable entertainment, and the Wimbledon site utilized his abilities as a disc jockey to create an amazing atmosphere.
Over time, Haskell transformed into a renowned tech-house DJ. Subsequently, photos surfaced of him operating the turntables alongside Lady Wimbledon and DJ Kate Moss.
He has been transparent about shedding pounds ever since quitting rugby. Previously, he disclosed that his time on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and the limitations imposed by the worldwide lockdown were factors that led to his weight reduction.

After departing from the Australian jungle back in 2019, James posted photos of his sculpted abdomen and prominent biceps onto Instagram. It was believed that he shed approximately 10 kilograms during the show.
During the last stretch of the UK’s lockdowns, Haskell confessed to shedding approximately 19 pounds due to a stringent eating regimen.
On Instagram, he posted a side-by-side photo comparison, captioning it: “In the midst of lockdown 2, I found myself with nothing to do and discovered just how much I could bulk up. Weighing in at 130kgs now.
‘Lockdown 3 I have gone the other way. I’m 8 weeks in and have gone from 122kgs to 113kgs.
Over the past while, I’ve been working out under the guidance of @altius_pt from afar. It’s been fantastic, meticulously planned, and tailored specifically for me. My goal right now is to shed some pounds, and then gradually increase my strength over the next few days.
As someone deeply committed, I must say that setting and adhering to a goal has been an incredibly rewarding experience for me. It provides me with direction, structure, and self-discipline – elements that are fundamental to our human nature.
On Monday, Haskell seemed full of life as he enjoyed himself at a party in Wimbledon, despite having recently experienced the tragic passing of his father several weeks prior.
Sharing difficult news through a touching message, he posted the following: ‘It’s never simple to compose such words.’

I’m sorry to say that my father has recently passed away, which is incredibly painful. Yet, amidst the sorrow, we honor and celebrate the life of an extraordinary individual.
‘He played a significant role in shaping my identity. He was always there to cheer me on during every match, encouraging me to improve, and showing me endless love.’
His work dedication was unmatched; he stood out as a stellar spouse, a devoted parent, and a compassionate individual always ready to lend a helping hand.
Recently, Haskell opened up about the reasons behind the dissolution of his five-year marriage with Chloe Madeley.
Haskell, age 37, and Chloe (daughter of TV hosts Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan) parted ways when their child, Bodhi, was only a year old.

He explained his love of boozing contributed to the demise of their union.
If I had invested as much effort into my marriage as I did with Guinness, I wouldn’t be divorced at this point, according to Haskell.
At the Pub in the Park event in west London, James expressed that his connection with Chloe is significantly improved now.
He shared with Richard Eden from the Daily Mail that although not everything works out as planned, his affection for his daughter and Chloe is immense. In essence, it’s all about collaboration.
‘He mentioned: ‘The one thing we often overlook is that when parenthood and marriage end, the focus should be on the children. Chloe and I make great team parents. We always prioritize Bodhi above all else.’
Haskell recently confirmed that he is no longer in a relationship, as he was dating advertising executive Helen Barclay at the beginning of the year.
He mentions that he’s currently not interested in dating, as his focus lies elsewhere. For now, he doesn’t feel the need for a companion, and instead, he’s content and comfortable on his own.
‘My focus is, obviously, saying goodbye to my dad, work, and being the best dad in the best order.’
