DC Studios and James Gunn’s Superman is flying into HBO Max this month.
The new superhero movie starring David Corenswet will begin streaming worldwide on September 19th. It will then be available on HBO television on September 20th. A special version for HBO Max will include American Sign Language interpretation by Giovanni Maucere, with direction by Leila Hanaumi.
To mark the arrival of *Superman* on HBO Max, the app itself will get a special makeover. Subscribers can expect a *Daily Planetthemed homepage, with fresh artwork, curated collections, and even hidden features – like a portal to Lex Luthor’s Pocket Prison – to discover.
The movie *Superman* has earned $615 million worldwide, making it the seventh highest-grossing film of 2025 to date. Its sequel, *Man of Tomorrow*, is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 9, 2027.
Superman premieres September 19 exclusively on HBO Max.
