James Corden is a successful Hollywood star who knows a lot of famous people, but even he recently had a disagreement with his local council – all over his trash and recycling bins.
The actor known for Gavin & Stacey has installed paving stones outside his £11.5 million home in North London to create a dedicated space for his trash and recycling bins.
However, local residents and preservation organizations criticized the renovations, calling them unattractive and harmful to the historic area’s unique look and feel.
The comedian’s representatives described the work as simple ‘landscaping,’ but the local council disagreed with the assessment and instructed him to restore the area by January 6th, or face potential legal consequences.
A recently released report, spanning seven pages, directs James Corden to remove all paved areas and repair any damage caused by the removal.
His effort to appease complaints by planting four new trees didn’t work – residents said the trees were planted too close together and wouldn’t grow well. Plus, the new paving now threatens two existing, healthy maple trees.

James Corden is facing criticism for more than just the stones on his property. Activists in Jersey want him to give back a 5,000-year-old stone circle that’s currently located on his estate in Oxfordshire.
A historic druid temple was originally granted to the previous homeowner in 1788, but authorities on the Channel Island now want to reclaim it.
Corden has said he’d be happy to help but UK heritage bosses don’t want them moved.
Hugh Bonneville’s brush with Bond was not as suave as he hoped.
The actor initially expected to spend three weeks in Thailand when he took the role in Tomorrow Never Dies in 1997. However, due to filming requirements for his brief part as a naval officer, he actually only spent two days in Portsmouth.
Iris is Sadie’s Law-kalike!
Iris Law’s latest transformation had me doing a double take.
The 25-year-old, known for her famous family connections, has changed her hair from blonde to a dark bob, and now looks remarkably like her mother, actress Sadie Frost.

She’s gracing the cover of Re-Edition magazine, showcasing her glamorous side, but a peek behind the scenes revealed a cozy side too – she was spotted with a hot-water bottle, prioritizing comfort.
Emma’s taking a punt on pal Malala
If you visit Oxford, look out for Emma Watson and Malala Yousafzai enjoying a boat ride on the River Cherwell – you might just see them punting by!
The two friends, who became well-known as students, first met in 2015 and are planning to participate in a water activity together.
You know, I was chatting with Emma Watson recently, and it was such a fun conversation! She mentioned she’s never actually been boating with Malala, which I immediately thought – we need to fix that! And get this – Emma confessed she’s surprisingly competitive when it comes to punting! Apparently, she’s a bit of a pro. It just goes to show, everyone has hidden talents, right?
‘We’ve met in Oxford many times,’ added the Nobel winner. ‘We just love the cafes.’
Well, if it floats their boat…
There’s been talk that Gary Lineker might be joining Netflix, and I’ve learned he recently had a lengthy and lively lunch with Sky News presenter Yalda Hakim.
Yalda and the other person talked for over four hours at a restaurant in Central London, leading people to wonder if she was trying to convince him to join Sky.
There’s still uncertainty about whether Gary Lineker will host the 2027 Women’s World Cup on Netflix, but a surprising new job opportunity could be on the horizon. Stay tuned for updates!
Sienna, Lily and a school for toyboys?
Lily Allen, age 40, and Sienna Miller, 43, are both dating younger men who are 28 years old. Interestingly, these two men have been close friends since childhood.

I hear that Jonah Freud, Lily’s new boyfriend and the nephew of the famous painter Lucian Freud, and Oli Green, who has been with Sienna for a long time, have been close friends ever since they went to school together at St Paul’s.
‘You’ll spot them with their arty crowd at whichever West London haunt is hot that week.’
Spotted
Alan Carr was spotted outside the department store Liberty, possibly shopping for new clothes after finishing filming The Traitors.
Joe Marler, a contestant on the show ‘Traitors,’ showed his dedication – or perhaps just his tolerance for cold – by choosing to wear shorts despite the chilly weather at Oval.
Michelle Dockery, who played Lady Mary in Downton Abbey, and Laura Carmichael, who played Lady Edith, were spotted having a meal together in Pimlico.
Gordon Ramsay escaping the family feud with a Sunday stroll on Wandsworth Common.
