James Bond favourite Callum Turner finally addresses reports that he’s the next 007

Everyone constantly speculates about who will play James Bond, but details about the casting process are usually kept secret. That hasn’t changed since Daniel Craig’s last film, No Time to Die.

Many actors, including Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Idris Elba, have been mentioned as possible candidates for the role. Recently, Callum Turner has been strongly connected to it, and he’s now spoken about the rumours.

While at the Berlin International Film Festival to promote his new thriller, Rosebush Pruning, actor Turner was questioned about the James Bond rumors. The reporter suggested addressing the speculation to clear the air.

Turner didn’t offer any details when asked, simply stating (according to Variety) that it was too soon to comment. His “Rosebush Pruning” co-star, Tracy Letts, playfully suggested he was in line to be the next James Bond.

We still don’t know who will be the next James Bond, but we’ve learned who’s working behind the scenes on the 26th film. Denis Villeneuve will direct, and Steven Knight has written the script.

Steven Knight, the creator of popular shows like Peaky Blinders and SAS: Rogue Heroes, revealed in September that he had begun writing the script without a specific actor in mind. He added, “We’ll see what happens as I write—you never know how things will develop until you get started.”

He previously shared his excitement about the project, saying it was a long-held dream come true and he was eager to begin working on it.

As a longtime Bond fan, I hope to bring my passion to the project and create something that honors the original while also being fresh, improved, and more impactful.

This new movie marks the start of a fresh chapter for the spy series, as it’s the first one released since Amazon acquired the rights. The previous producers, Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson, have left the project after reaching an agreement with the new owners.

The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant 100-page tribute to Taylor Swift, is now available! You can purchase it at newsstands or online for only £8.99.
