James Bond candidates Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Theo James do their 007 hopes no harm as frontrunners for the coveted role reunite at the UK premiere of Fuze

Fans of James Bond might have spotted potential new 007s on Thursday night, as two leading candidates walked the red carpet at a London premiere.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Theo James attended the premiere of their new film, Fuze, at the Odeon West End. The movie will be released across the UK on April 3rd.

With Daniel Craig stepping down from the role five years ago, several British actors are now considered frontrunners to become the next James Bond.

Outside the central London event, the two stars posed stylishly for photographers, alongside Jeff Bezos, the Amazon executive who helped make the latest Bond film possible.

When Amazon bought MGM in 2022, they gained complete creative control over the James Bond franchise. This happened through an agreement with Barbara and Michael Broccoli, who are the children of the original James Bond producer, Albert R. Broccoli.

Barbara and Michael took over the franchise in 1995 when their father passed on control of his company, Eon Productions, to them.

In March 2025, Amazon made a deal with Barbara and Michael. Although the specific amount wasn’t revealed, reports suggested the deal was worth over $1 billion.

Everyone is still guessing who will be the next James Bond in the movies, but Aaron Taylor-Johnson and James Norton have often been mentioned as leading contenders by those in the film industry.

Ever since Amazon bought the rights to the James Bond franchise earlier this year, everyone’s been speculating about what they plan to do with it.

James Bond has a long history with video game adaptations, starting in the 1980s. Early Bond games were often shooting games or text-based adventures where players would type commands to control the famous spy.

Amazon executives are reportedly scouting locations for their upcoming movie, which is expected to come out either late next year or in 2027.
