Jake Quickenden reveals bringing newborn son Kit home from hospital felt ‘different to first time around’ as he shares heartwarming snaps
In a heartfelt social media post, Jake Quickenden nearly brought tears to his followers’ eyes as he shared that bringing his latest addition, baby Kit, home from the hospital was an entirely unique experience compared to his first-time parenting journey.
36-year-old celebrity from X-Factor, whose name is not specified, became a father of two sons after his wife, Sophie Church, gave birth on Wednesday. On Friday, he expressed his happiness by posting about it on Instagram.
In 2022, I was blessed to witness the beautiful union of this wonderful couple. As a proud admirer, it’s fascinating to see them expanding their family. They’ve been graced with a three-year-old son named Leo, and they’re also lovingly nurturing Sophie’s little boy, Freddie, from her previous relationship. It’s an amazing sight to behold!
Later in the day, the well-known figure from I’m A Celebrity shared an update with his followers, detailing the family’s homecoming in a lengthy message.
This time, the loving father made an extra effort with Leo because he was feeling a bit swamped. They didn’t want him to feel excluded now that a new sibling had arrived.
The celebrity television personality shared a touching message along with numerous adorable photos of the tiny baby and even included two snapshots of him holding their newborn, shirtless.
Additionally, he posted a heartwarming snapshot depicting Sophie nursing their newborn baby at the hospital, accompanied by a message expressing gratitude for the thoughtful messages received.
Jake, expressing that the family was thriving within their “newborn phase,” wrote his recent entry: “Our little boy has arrived home safely and comfortably. In fact, we returned home just a few hours later.
Sophie leaves me in awe. She’s thriving, and she seems to be very affectionate towards Kit without ever letting go. However, it feels somewhat different this time around because I want Leo to feel included, not left out. He appears to be a bit overloaded right now, so we’re making an effort to spend more quality time together as a family.
Today, we took a dip in the pool, stopped by Smith’s, picked up a new toy for Kit, grabbed some chicken nuggets for lunch, and returned home to watch Wicked for the third time within two days.

On a Friday morning, the star posted an endearing video on Instagram, showing the moment of the baby’s birth, and at the same time, disclosed the child’s name.
Captioning his post, Jake penned: ‘Welcome to world little one. Kit Quickenden 6lb 13oz.
‘On August 1st, 1925, Sophie entered the world – as her father, I simply have to express how remarkable she was during Kit’s birth and in general. Thank you for your extraordinary efforts.’ ❤️
In the adorable video, we find baby Kit all snuggled in a white wrap and a charming blue beanie, as his mother, Sophie, aged 31, gently holds him in her arms.
She is then seen breastfeeding her newborn while enjoying a well-earned piece of toast.
Excited parents were spotted lovingly caring for their small child, holding his tiny hands, just before Jake began dressing Kit.
Later in the video, TV host Jake is seen without a shirt, affectionately cradling his son. It’s likely that Jake was engaging in or had just finished some close, bare-skinned bonding with his child.
The unique announcement received numerous heartfelt congratulations from both his admirers and entertainment industry friends.
Previously, Sophie and Jake announced that they had been expecting a child following a prolonged period of trying. They shared their joyous news on Instagram through a heartfelt slideshow depicting their family’s reaction to discovering this wonderful development.
Overwhelmed by emotions, he wiped away tears as he learned that, while pregnant, Sophie showed them an ultrasound image, leaving their sons in a state of shock.
