Jaime King breaks her silence on wild rumors she is dating rich hotelier Vikram Chatwal after engagement to Austin Sosa

Jaime King has responded to rumors that she’s dating hotelier Vikram Chatwal, following recent reports about her split from her fiancé.

Last July, King announced her engagement to Austin Sosa, a Family Office investor. However, sources recently told Page Six that she was seen showing affection with Vikram Chatwal, 54, at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood last week.

Okay, so everyone’s been going crazy with rumors, but I finally saw something that made me breathe a little easier! Apparently, she told Page Six it was just business with Chatwal. Just business! I mean, I knew it, right? They’re both so focused on their careers, it wouldn’t make any sense for it to be anything else. Still, it’s such a relief to hear her say it herself! I’ve been following her for years and honestly, she deserves to focus on work without all this nonsense.

King stated that she and Sosa are still engaged, even though she’s been seen with Chatwal multiple times recently, and she acknowledged those meetings took place.

The Daily Mail has reached out to King’s reps for comment.

The publication said it tried reaching out to King for a response before publishing its story, but reportedly, she only attempted to clarify things after the story was already out.

‘These were just a business meetings with a friend nothing more [sic],’ she said.

King confirmed she is still dating Sosa, stating, ‘I’m very happy with Austin.’

Following reports of them being seen together at the Chateau Marmont last week, sources say King and Chatwal were spotted again a few days later at Bombay Palace in Beverly Hills. This restaurant is part of a chain founded by Chatwal’s father, who has faced public scandal.

About ten years ago, a businessman who had been to rehab three times was sentenced to five days of community service. He had been found guilty of animal cruelty – specifically, injuring and torturing animals – as well as reckless endangerment and vandalism after reportedly setting two dogs on fire.

He received his sentence only two years after his 81-year-old father admitted to illegally influencing witnesses and breaking campaign finance laws. The father did this by funneling over $180,000 in donations to three different candidates using other people’s names.

The gallery owner, who was born in Ethiopia and grew up in New York, once socialized with Lindsay Lohan during her more rebellious period in Hollywood. She was also friends with several models and actresses, like Nicky Hilton Rothschild, Rosario Dawson, and Poppy Delevingne.

Chatwal reportedly romanced Spanish model Esther Cañadas and Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi.

During his five-year marriage to Indian model Priya Sachdev, which ended in 2011 after a lavish $20 million wedding, the Wharton School of Business graduate and his wife welcomed their daughter, Safira, who is now 18 years old.

Last July, King revealed to People magazine that she was engaged to Austin Sosa, who works in family office investing. This came after a difficult time where she had to stay with his parents because her landlord locked her out of her Los Angeles home due to over $42,000 in unpaid rent.

Danielle, known for her role in ‘Love,’ lost primary custody of her two sons, James, 12, and Leo, 10, in March. This followed a difficult two-year divorce from her husband of 13 years, Kyle Newman.

King’s sons celebrated Christmas with the 49-year-old music video director and his wife, Cynthia Nabozny, who is 17 years his junior at age 32.

It’s been wonderful watching them grow! They’ve been married for two years now, and have a beautiful family – a four-year-old son named Etienne and a sweet two-year-old daughter, Beatrix. I’m so happy for them!

Due to not completing required substance abuse treatment and parenting classes – including a six-month program with regular testing, follow-up care, and a 26-week parenting course, along with individual and couples counseling – King currently has supervised visits with her sons three times a week for set periods. She is also said to still owe $100,000 in legal fees.

“Protecting my children is my top priority, and honestly, it’s all I care about right now,” said co-author of The Playground on the Whine Down podcast on April 10th. She admitted she was feeling frightened.

When I got married young, I was naive about how the world – and the legal system – actually worked. I really believed that if you loved someone, that was enough. I thought love meant building a life and trusting them completely.

King claimed that Newman falsely portrayed the beginning of their relationship during the custody battle, hoping to gain sole custody of their children. Newman had previously labeled King a ‘chronic drug addict and alcoholic’ in court filings.

Newman stated he struggled financially because he was solely responsible for supporting their children, while she consistently didn’t pay the $429 monthly child support or the $1,000 monthly spousal support ordered by the court.

According to Deadline, King started filming the faith-based crime thriller “Redemption” in Las Vegas last November. The cast includes Billy Zane, Jon Lovitz, Frank Stallone, Jon Lemmon, and Weston Cage Coppola.

Besides co-founding Hooligan Dreamers, this individual is also involved in several other upcoming films.
