This week, I’ve been reflecting on my journey, and I can’t help but feel like I’ve traded a piece of myself for the limelight when I joined The X-Factor. However, there’s no denying that my career with Little Mix has been incredibly rewarding, both financially and creatively.
Indeed, the 32-year-old singer, who created quite an impression with her solo act at the Brit Awards, has even gone as far as purchasing a residence worth almost £3 million in the Blackheath district of South London.
Jade purchased a six-bedroom house for approximately 2.85 million pounds, which she shares with her partner Jordan Stephens, the lead vocalist of the hip-hop band Rizzle Kicks, aged 33.
Jordan openly acknowledged this week that his girlfriend has a higher income than himself.
She’s incredibly accomplished, and I absolutely admire her. To certain individuals, it may seem threatening, but I find their perspectives amusingly outdated.
In the year 2011, Jade became well-known after her appearance on The X-Factor; subsequently, she was teamed up with Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock to form the girl group Little Mix.

Under Simon’s disguise, the team triumphed in the prestigious singing contest and proceeded to put out massive hits like “Wings,” “Black Magic,” and “Shout Out To My Ex” over the course of ten years.
She expressed that she believed she made a deal, or “sold her soul,” because she entered the industry at a young age.
In the forthcoming installment of BBC’s The Assembly, where all queries come from neurodiverse questioners, she was posed a question that compared her actions to having “surrendered one’s spirit or essential character.
She responded: ‘You outmaneuvered me, but only slightly at first. In hindsight, I was quite naive and didn’t think things through carefully before agreeing.’
‘But as the years have gone by I’ve learned more and more about the industry.
Over time, much like how Thanos gathers cosmic stones, I’ve been slowly amassing fragments of my soul. This has happened as I’ve experienced a growing sense of artistic liberation in my life.
The songstress known as ‘The IT Girl’ has confessed that she isn’t completely certain if music tycoon, Simon Cowell, who launched The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, will be leaving his position anytime soon.
She expressed her belief that a certain type of TV program or record label is coming to an end, suggesting it marks the end of that particular era. However, she’s unsure whether Simon Cowell personally brought about this change.

Previously, it was proposed that the lyric “sold my soul to a psycho” from her song “Angel of my Dreams” might be a subtle jab at Simon. However, during an interview, Jade made it clear that this wasn’t always the intended meaning.
She shared with Beat magazine: “The song isn’t directly related to a specific topic, but it represents my personal journey in the music industry, from my beginnings to the present moment, and the emotions I’ve experienced along the way. This is why the song has such a chaotic feel.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I would liken the moment to the triumphant soundtrack of a winning performance on ‘The X Factor’, where you’re suddenly thrust headlong into the world of entertainment.
She stated: “I wouldn’t choose to criticize the past 13 years of my existence here. I am incredibly joyful and fulfilled. However, similar to any profession, there have been ups and downs.
‘That’s just life, and it’s my reality, but it’s about writing it in a way that’s not woe is me.’
Additionally, she has recently shared insights about the emotions she experienced during Little Mix’s break and transitioning into her solo journey, acknowledging that it initially took some time for her to adapt to working independently.
Last summer saw her kick off her independent musical journey with her first single titled “Angel of My Dreams.” This track climbed its way to the top 10 positions in the United Kingdom, and this year it earned her the title of Best Pop Act at the BRIT Awards.
Currently, Jade is working on her initial solo album, following the announcement of Little Mix’s hiatus in 2022.

As I found myself basking in the limelight of my thriving career, I confessed during a recent episode of Dish from Waitrose, my beloved foodie podcast, that it took tireless effort to learn how to stand tall and embrace the liberating feeling of making my own decisions for the very first time.
In conversation with Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett, she confessed that initially, she didn’t experience a feeling of liberation upon the band’s separation, as she deeply cherished being part of the group and it seemed similar to ending a long-term relationship unexpectedly.
As a self-proclaimed lifestyle connoisseur, I found myself in an unfamiliar yet enlightening predicament. For years, I’ve been accustomed to letting others guide my decisions. But recently, I’ve had to embrace the challenge of standing on my own two feet and charting my own course. It’s a humbling experience, one that requires patience and determination, but it’s also incredibly empowering.
She shared: “Indeed, our last performance took place in 2022. That evening, I returned home to my apartment, and the following morning, when I opened my calendar for the first time in eleven years, it was completely empty.”
And the pattern in my life, it seemed as if it had been carefully mapped out for a long time, with each step already decided upon.
As a devoted admirer, let me express that I find myself frequently reminiscing about the days when my routine was dictated by someone else, and every move I made had a predetermined schedule.
Isn’t it challenging, though, since when you cherish something deeply, as we didn’t part ways out of hatred. Instead, we chose to pause our journey while things were at their peak. We were thriving. Our feelings for each other remained strong.
It seemed appropriate to take action at that point. However, it felt as if we were in a partnership that had abruptly ended, with us no longer being connected anymore.
After being independent for the first time, I needed to adapt and ponder, “Alright, what are my desires now? What kind of music should I listen to? Who am I when I’m alone?
Jade found that when she started selecting her team members and composing songs based on her own life events, it was then that she truly experienced the sensation of being free.
