Jade Thirlwall Drops Fiery New Track FUFN After Winning First Solo BRIT Award!

Following her victorious performance at the BRIT Awards, Jade Thirlwall has debuted her fresh single titled “FUFN” (short for “Farewell Until Next Time”).

On Friday, the 32-year-old solo artist, fresh off her first win at an awards show, released her newest powerful pop tune.

As a devoted admirer of RAYE, I contributed to her track “Don’t Tell Me to Calm Down,” produced alongside Dave Hamelin and masterfully crafted by Lostboy. In this song, I passionately express my sentiments through powerful lyrics that emphatically declare, “Don’t you tell me to calm down.

The song was teased during the new Fendi campaign for their Mamma Baguette bag, which she stars in.

Jade mentioned that FUFN represents a heightened stage of an argument we’re all familiar with, understanding that it’s not the final chapter, but experiencing intense emotions in the heat of the moment.

‘It’s the channeling of female rage into a bada** big pop banger.’

The debut solo single of the artist, titled “Angel Of My Dreams,” has experienced tremendous commercial popularity, garnering more than 100 million plays so far.

Last year, a British artist’s song debuted on the UK Official Singles Chart at the third-highest position among all new entries, landing at number 7.

Since then Jade has released three more tracks, Midnight Cowboy. Fantasy, and IT Girl.

Fans rejoiced when, during the 2025 BRIT Awards ceremony held at London’s O2 Arena, Jade earned her initial award as a solo artist – a remarkable moment for her.

Previously a member of Little Mix, she recently clinched the award for Best Pop Artist. Her unconventional acceptance speech instantly gained widespread attention, as she stumbled while ascending the steps to the stage and concealed her speech inside her gown’s front pocket.

The Sugababes members Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan, and Siobhán Donaghy handed out the award, with Jade emerging victorious against contenders like Charli XCX, Dua Lipa, Lola Young, and Myles Smith.

In a heart-pounding moment that left me breathless with anticipation, as they announced her name, I could almost see the surprise flash across her face, like a bolt of lightning. With every ounce of grace I could muster, I navigated the obstacle course created by her voluminous denim wedding gown’s train and skirt, eagerly making my way towards the stage to bask in the glow of my idol.

On the stage, she found it tough to ascend the stairs and eventually got jammed up. The Sugababes graciously offered assistance when they noticed her predicament.

In the course of delivering her acceptance speech, Jade reached inside her attire and retrieved a folded note from between her neckline.

She shared: “Wow! This is my initial BRIT Award as a solo act! I can’t cry because I need to perform later, but I prepared a small note just in case I won. It might seem awkward, but I knew I’d forget who to thank. I’m feeling quite overwhelmed.

Instead, she expressed gratitude towards her fans and dear ones, explaining, “It is essential that I acknowledge my fans, for it is their support that has led me to this victory.

I’m truly grateful for your unwavering backing and encouragement in rallying others to vote for me. Your support means a lot to me.

I’d like to express my gratitude to my outstanding team, as achieving a great pop act is truly the work of a committed group, much like a village coming together.

I’d like to express gratitude to my partner Jordan, my parents, siblings, extended family, and dear friends for their unwavering faith in me throughout it all.

Thank you for making me believe that becoming a pop star was a real possibility, even when I was just a young girl.

Subsequently, Jade expressed a heartfelt homage to her ex-Little Mix band companions, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, acknowledging that they significantly influenced and transformed her life.

Overflowing with emotion, she exclaimed, “At last, my fellow Little Mix sisters! I adore you all so deeply. This award would not be mine if not for them. They’ve transformed my life and I am eternally thankful.
