Jacob Elordi’s hilarious prefect photos from high school emerge as woman recalls how she went to formal with the Hollywood heartthrob

TikTok is buzzing with old photos of actor Jacob Elordi wearing his high school prefect uniform.

The photos show Jacob posing playfully with his friends, all wearing the distinctive blue and white blazers of their Brisbane school.

The share has prompted a female user to post a photo of the now-28-year-old’s school formal.

The photo shows Jacob dressed in a black tuxedo, standing with a young, blonde girl in a white dress.

Another teenager, dressed identically to Jacob, is also seen in the picture alongside his date.

Jordan Gamblin, who shared the photo, hasn’t said if she’s the blonde woman pictured with Jacob in the formal photo.

Jacob’s parents, Mellissa and John Elordi, often appear in his old high school photos as well.

They can be seen proudly posing beside their boy in his St Joseph’s Nudgee College school colours. 

A TikTok video has gone viral, gaining more than 800 comments from people discussing Jacob’s connection to Brisbane.

Someone commented that he seemed very typically Australian and was well-liked. Another person mentioned he’d gone to school with a relative of theirs.

Honestly, not everyone loved Jacob’s style. I saw some feedback that wasn’t so kind – one person actually said he looked like a ‘frat boy,’ which, you know, isn’t always the vibe everyone’s going for! It just goes to show you, style is so subjective, and what one person loves, another might not.

Another user posted: ‘He looks so American.’

It was while Jacob was in high school that he discovered his love of acting. 

He first gained recognition after a small role in the 2017 Australian comedy, Swingin’ Safari, just under two years after graduating from school.

 

I always thought he had an incredible look – seriously classic, like those golden age Hollywood leading men, Cary Grant and Errol Flynn. And it wasn’t just his face; he was in amazing shape, a result of being a really dedicated athlete – he played both basketball and rugby at a high level when he was just nineteen.

Many actors struggle for months or even years, going from one audition to another without success. But Jacob quickly found a big break – he was cast as one of the main romantic leads in the popular 2018 Netflix movie, The Kissing Booth.

Oh my god, and then came *Euphoria*! It was HUGE. Jacob totally blew me away as Nate Jacobs – seriously, that role was everything. It was definitely his biggest part yet, and he just *became* this incredibly messed up, intense, and honestly terrifying character. I was completely obsessed! He absolutely nailed playing such a toxic and violent guy.

He later won acclaim for his role in the controversial 2023 feature film Saltburn.

The news follows reports that Jacob and his ex-girlfriend, Olivia Jade Giannulli, might be getting back together. Olivia Jade was recently spotted at the premiere of Jacob’s film, Frankenstein, seemingly showing her support.

Despite splitting up a month ago, the actress from Wuthering Heights and a 25-year-old social media influencer were seen together at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Jacob’s new film, Frankenstein, arrives on Netflix November 7.

The actor and Olivia called it quits in August, after four years together.

This is the first person the actor has dated since his split from Kaia Gerber, Cindy Crawford’s daughter, back in 2021.

Okay, so Jacob and Olivia… they were *always* so private. Like, they never confirmed anything, ever! No red carpet appearances, no interviews talking about *us*… I mean, *them*. It was frustrating, honestly, but I guess they just really valued their privacy and wanted to keep things between them. It just made me love them even more, in a way, knowing it was real even if the world didn’t officially know!

Although they never officially announced their relationship online, the couple was spotted together on multiple trips to Italy in both 2023 and 2024.
