As a die-hard fan of gothic literature, I can hardly contain my excitement over Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming adaptation of “Frankenstein“! With a stellar cast led by Oscar Isaac, Mia Goth, and Jacob Elordi, this film promises to be a masterpiece that will undoubtedly leave me spellbound.

A noteworthy development has emerged concerning Guillermo del Toro’s forthcoming Netflix adaptation of ‘Frankenstein’.

I’ve just finished acting in the newest adaptation of Mary Shelley’s timeless tale, where I played Victor Frankenstein alongside Mia Goth as Elizabeth Lavenza, and Jacob Elordi as our creature. Filming is finally done!

Yesterday, on September 30, Guillermo del Toro officially announced that filming for ‘F’ has wrapped up, expressing his joy with the exclamation “Joy!!!” in a post.

The tale of Victor Frankenstein unfolds, chronicling his extraordinary scientific endeavor where he creates a grotesque being through an unusual experimental process.

As well as directing the upcoming film, Del Toro has co-written the script alongside J Miles Dale.

In addition, the ensemble features Christoph Waltz from the movie Spectre, Lars Mikkelsen known for his role in Ahsoka, as well as David Bradley and Charles Dance, who are both recognized for their performances in Game of Thrones.

They are also accompanied by Felix Kammerer, who appeared in “All Quiet on the Western Front” and “Sweet Tooth”, respectively.

Del Toro has long harbored a wish to bring the story of Frankenstein to the big screen. Back in 2009, he shared his feelings saying: “Frankenstein is a lifelong dream for me, one of the foundational books in my life and one of the primal monsters in my personal mythology. I truly hope I get the chance to make this project happen.

Regardless of when I take the action, five or six years from now, I’m content with that choice. Each person gets only one chance at such matters, and I prefer not to make a mistake.

Apart from Frankenstein, Elordi will also be seen in another interpretation of a renowned gothic novel.

News has just broken out that the actor is set to portray Heathcliff in Emerald Fennell’s forthcoming adaptation of Wuthering Heights, with Margot Robbie cast as Catherine Earnshaw.

The novel by Emily Brontë primarily focuses on a multitude of stormy connections, such as the one between Catherine and Heathcliff.

Additionally, it delves into the broader relationships within the Earnshaw and Linton clans, as well as the harsh treatments and cruelties that the novel’s characters exhibit towards one another.
