Jackson Warne is the spitting image of his dad Shane as he stuns in Backyard Cricket Series match between Australia and England

On Tuesday, Jackson Warne played cricket for Australia against England, wearing the famous yellow uniform. The match was part of a Backyard Cricket Series and took place at the Shane Warne Oval in Melbourne.

Looking remarkably like his father, the late Shane Warne, the 26-year-old son showed great energy and self-assurance as he played.

Jackson, known for his success in both media and poker, happily showed off his athletic skills to an enthusiastic audience, paying tribute to his father’s lasting impact.

Oh my gosh, you HAVE to see this! This podcaster, who I already thought was amazing, just completely blew everyone away at bat! It was like he wasn’t even trying – every swing was perfect, timed flawlessly. Seriously, the way he played was just… breathtaking. The crowd went wild, and honestly, so did I! He’s just got this incredible style and precision, it’s unreal!

Jackson beamed while posing for a photo with his girlfriend, Kiah Broadsmith, before confidently stepping up to bat, showcasing his talent and charisma.

Everyone could see he inherited Shane Warne’s incredible talent after his amazing performance.

Jackson impressed everyone with his effortless talent on the cricket field, leaving his teammates and fans wondering why he didn’t pursue a professional career like Shane.

The crowd roared with approval as Jackson honored his father, a legendary Australian spin bowler, with every play.

His top-notch skills, timing and on-field charisma ensured his performance had everyone talking.

In August, Jackson revealed what went on behind the scenes the day his famous father died.

In his first public statement about the sad news, Jackson shared that he was with his family when he found out Shane, age 52, had passed away from a heart attack.

Jackson recently described a phone call he received as ‘the worst of my life,’ recalling the conversation three years after his father passed away.

Jackson told the Herald Sun that he was with his mother, Simone, and sister, Brooke, when they received the heartbreaking news from Shane’s manager, Andrew Neophitou.

Jackson said they first received a call saying Shane had suffered a major heart attack, and then a second call letting them know doctors were trying to revive him.

The podcaster and his family endured a painful 90-minute wait before Shane’s manager, James Erskine, finally called back with news.

‘It was just the worst hour and a half,’ Jackson said.

When the sad news finally came, Jackson said that he and his family all broke down in tears.

‘I found out at the same time as the rest of the world,’ Jackson said.

Honestly, the moment I ended that call, my phone blew up. Everyone was messaging me, completely shocked and asking if the news was even real. It was a whirlwind of disbelief, and people just couldn’t accept what they were hearing.

I honestly didn’t believe that would be what harmed him. I fully expected my dad to pull through; I never really thought he wouldn’t make it.

I always saw him as invincible, like Superman. I truly never believed anything bad could happen to him, so it’s still incredibly shocking.

Shane died suddenly from a massive heart attack while on holiday in Thailand in March 2022.
