As a lifestyle expert with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that Jackie O Henderson’s business moves are nothing short of inspiring. Her resilience and determination to succeed, especially after overcoming her personal battles with addiction, is truly commendable.
Radio personality Jackie O Henderson has disclosed her latest venture following her visit to a vacant shop in Bronte on Wednesday.
49-year-old woman, accompanied by her business partner and friend Gemma O’Neill, was spotted checking out a storefront together.
The popular host on KIIS FM radio shared with Daily Mail Australia that she aims to grow her Besties enterprise by establishing a new office location.
Last year, Jackie and Gemma launched their event-hosting and luxury vacation company, and now they’re preparing to unveil a business premises to showcase their brand.
Jackie seemed engrossed in conversation while examining the area, dressed casually in stylish dark denim jeans and a vibrant blue t-shirt.
She completed her look with a pair of black sandals and wore dark sunglasses.
Gemma also put on a stylish display for the outing in a beige dress and a pair of black sandals.
Jackie launched her Besties enterprise alongside Gemma a year ago, emphasizing that it honors the most cherished bond in one’s existence – the friendship between best friends.
It is an events business which sells experiences for ‘best friends’ to create memories together.
Recently, Gemma has refuted claims suggesting that they incurred financial losses during the Besties event, which took place under Gwyneth Paltrow’s hosting in October of the previous year.
On a single visit to Sydney, the renowned A-list Hollywood actress and Goop founder jetsetted over to make an appearance for one night.
Regardless of being a big name in Hollywood, the event, staged at the ICC theatre, appeared only partially occupied – yet Gemma maintained this was intentional.
She expressed to The Daily Telegraph that, although we aren’t seasoned event organizers and relatively inexperienced, we should be commended for our determination to take on this challenge and give it our best shot.
The International Convention Center (ICC) is the place with a seating capacity exceeding 2000 people. It can be reserved entirely or partially filled. In our case, we opted for half capacity reservation and managed to sell approximately 2000 tickets.
Estimates place Gwyneth’s appearance fee anywhere from $150,000 to $500,000, while event tickets ranged from a base price of $100 to $2,500 for premium VIP access.
Additionally, she refuted claims that the four-day excursion to Kokomo Island in December, organized by Besties, didn’t garner enough response, or that the planned trip to Fiji in September was scrapped due to insufficient interest.
A three-day Southern Highlands getaway scheduled for March has sold out, she claimed.
The pair also launched a line of Besties branded clothing in October.
Jackie shared that she feels fortunate to still be living, as she had been consuming multiple pills daily while fighting her addiction.
The radio host admitted that she had been consuming approximately 10-12 Stilnox or Ambien sleep medications, along with 24 Panadeine Forte pain relievers each day, prior to reaching out for assistance.
She remarked on the Mental As Anyone podcast last week, “That’s quite a number of sleep aids to begin with. Many might wonder, how was she able to manage at all?
Jackie explained, “I’ve developed resistance to them, so it might as well be like I was only taking one or two, considering how little impact they seemed to have on me.
I believe the “10” felt more like balancing out my body, rather than something enjoyable. It seems to be too much strain for the body to handle.
‘When you look at the actual medication I was taking, I don’t know how I survived that’.
Jackie spoke about her years-long battle with drug and alcohol addiction for the first time in her memoir, The Whole Truth, last month.
In November 2022, she shared her experience of spending 28 days at the renowned rehabilitation facility, The Betty Ford Center, as she battled addiction that had arisen during the Covid-19 lockdown.
After successfully battling her addiction issues, Jackie will be celebrating two years of being sober on Thursday, November 14, marking a significant accomplishment in her life.
