Jackie ‘O’ Henderson is bringing the nineties back in Greece.

The city of Athens served as the backdrop for this momentous occasion where I, the reigning queen of Sydney radio, had the honor to share my insights and experiences with my esteemed colleagues in the industry.

Jackie has enthusiastically adopted the Gen Z classic that echoes her lively 1920s style in Sydney, specifically the designer combat pants.

As the popular radio personality for KIIS FM, she embodied the youthful spirit of Avril Lavigne while donning a stylish pair of Ksubi camouflage pants worth $219 and a simple grey t-shirt.

Back in September, it was revealed that her close companion, Pip Edwards (age 44), had been appointed as the creative director for an Australian streetwear brand.

Jackie paired her green ‘Fugitive Hash Camo’ cargos with chunky black military boots. 

In my latest exploration of timeless elegance, I let my sun-kissed golden waves cascade down my back in carefree curls, adorning my shoulders as we roamed the ancient wonders of the Acropolis. Later, I shed my long-sleeved layer to feel the warmth of the sun on my skin, continuing our journey with a sense of freedom and adventure.

Cargo pants and shorts are a ‘must have’ in Jackie’s wardrobe. 

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’ve been excited to share with you all that I’ve found my go-to pair of pants for daily wear – a stylish, versatile grey camouflage design. These pants have become an essential part of my wardrobe, as they flatters me more than any other pair I own.

In 2024, during a visit to Melbourne airport, Jackie boldly stepped outside the norm by wearing expensive cargo shorts worth $930, hailing from the fashion-forward brand Acne Studios, showcasing her slender physique.

In July, Jackie acknowledged that the style was reminiscent of the past when she wore yet another set of $1200 oversized, retro-style parachute pants from the brand.

Today, camouflage fashion is a staple in streetwear fashion.

The hip-hop group Public Enemy, founded in 1986 on Long Island, is recognized for being among the pioneers who made the camouflage pattern widely popular.

In simpler terms, this politically passionate group influenced the style by associating it with their cultural status, causing military apparel to symbolize rebellion and demonstration.

Camouflage (Camo) gained widespread recognition during the 1990s and 2000s, with it being sported by a diverse array of individuals. This included hip-hop artists such as Tupac and Wu-Tang Clan, pop groups like NSYNC, solo artists such as Avril Lavigne, the Spice Girls, and Destiny’s Child.

Jackie recently revealed the secret to looking youthful after celebrating her 50th birthday. 

The radio host shared with Daily Mail Australia that maintaining a happy and optimistic outlook has contributed significantly to her youthful appearance.

She confessed, “I’ve been a smoker for quite some time, and I must admit, I haven’t taken very good care of my body throughout the years.

However, I’ve consistently been a rather optimistic individual, usually cheerful. To be truthful, I can’t pinpoint any other reason for my youthful appearance, if you take my word for it.

She also revealed how meditation has helped her alleviate a lot of stress over the years.

As an ardent enthusiast, I wholeheartedly believe that meditation has the power to transport me to a tranquil, blissful realm within my own existence. It significantly diminishes the burden of stress.

Additionally, it’s widely understood that stress plays a significant role in both premature aging and overall health issues. Consequently, I am a strong advocate for meditation.

Apart from sharing her enthusiasm about reaching the age of 50 next year, Jackie expressed her gratitude for all that she has accomplished.

She expressed her contentment with the remarkable journey of her life, acknowledging the blessings she possesses. Being thankful for reaching the age of 50, she felt no fear whatsoever,” she shared.

‘I’m happy to embrace it as every decade brings something new.’
