Jackie ‘O’ Henderson opens up about her very public spats with Kyle Sandilands: ‘I will certainly speak up’

Jackie Henderson, the popular radio personality, has spoken about the recent disagreements she’s had with her KIIS FM colleague, Kyle Sandilands.

The 50-year-old has been in the news lately after a heated on-air argument during the Kyle and Jackie O Show. He’s worked with Kyle Sandilands, 54, for almost 30 years.

Jackie left the studio in May after a disagreement with a friend, claiming she was being manipulated. Then, last month, she abruptly walked off the breakfast show during a live broadcast following another argument.

Jackie recently told T Australia magazine that she and Kyle haven’t always seen eye-to-eye recently, and she won’t hesitate to share her differing opinions.

Jackie appeared on the cover of the magazine in a revealing photo, wearing a low-cut top that showed a lot of skin.

Jackie recently shared that she and Kyle have very different viewpoints, explaining that he tends to hold opinions similar to those of Donald Trump, while she considers herself more progressive and aware of social issues.

‘It’s to do with all the wokeness,’ she said, referring to their recent on-air fights.

Look, I was telling Kyle, just because someone’s ‘woke’ – you know, aware of social issues – doesn’t automatically make them some radical! It just means they’re trying to understand where other people are coming from, trying to be compassionate. It’s not extreme, it’s just… empathy! I wish more people understood that.

‘And Kyle leans more into the Trump-style camp.’

During the conversation, Jackie referenced a statement made by Jane Fonda. Fonda, a well-known actress, discussed the topic of ‘wokeness’ at the Screen Actors Guild Awards earlier in February.

‘Woke just means you give a damn about other people,’ she said, quoting Fonda.

Jackie added: ‘Really, that’s so true, I’m all for that movement.’ 

If you listen to us often, you’ll notice we have very different viewpoints – that’s just the way it is, and it’s perfectly fine. In fact, I think our differences are a good thing.

This happened after Jackie abruptly left the KIIS studio following a tense disagreement with Kyle on the Kyle and Jackie O Show in September.

The argument happened during an intermission in the show. Kyle explained that Jackie had gotten upset with him because she felt he wasn’t listening to her conversation.

He then asked one of their top producers, Jaimee ‘Mayo’ Hassos, to co-host the show with him.

Kyle later called Jackie and told her he regretted their fight, calling it the worst day of his broadcasting career. Jackie then agreed to work from home.

Kyle and Jackie had a heated argument on air earlier this year during their KIIS FM breakfast show, and the segment was ultimately cut and never broadcast.

In May, the co-hosts shared the clip and asked psychotherapist and couples’ counselor Melissa Ferrari to listen and provide her professional insights.

In the recording, Kyle appears to be teasing Jackie, suggesting she’s distracted and prioritizing personal calls over her work. Jackie refuted these claims.

She recently revealed she’s dating and hoping to find a long-term partner, not long after she was seen getting close to pilot and DJ Richard Ryan.

A Daily Mail photographer caught the two talking and enjoying the sunshine on the balcony of Jackie’s home in the eastern suburbs.

At one point, Jackie was seen leaning in for a kiss with a huge smile across her dial.
