Now streaming is Malice, a gripping new revenge thriller starring Jack Whitehall as a nanny with a dark side. The series, created by James Wood, also features Carice van Houten, known for Game of Thrones, and David Duchovny from The X Files.
The new six-episode show features Jack Whitehall as Adam Healey, a tutor who cleverly integrates himself into the lives of the wealthy Tanner family during their vacation in Greece.
Once we’re all back in London, I start working on turning Jamie Tanner, this super successful businessman (played by Duchovny), against his wife, Nat (van Houten). It’s then that you really find out what I’m really after.

A secretive young man starts working for a rich family, but can they uncover who he really is before his dangerous scheme ruins their lives?
Good news for fans of the comedian! Their new series is now available on Prime Video, so people in the UK can watch all six episodes right away.

The Radio Times described Adam’s character in the new thriller as a “charmingly unpredictable nanny.”
I always loved those American movies from the 80s and 90s, and I noticed something cool – it was usually the British actor playing the villain who really stood out and stole the show! That’s what Jack Whitehall told the publication about what inspired his character, Adam.
I loved Alan Rickman’s performance as the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. Malice is a very different kind of movie, but you find yourself almost rooting for the villain, Adam, to tear apart this wealthy family—they’re so over-the-top and seem to have perfect lives.
It’s amusing to watch him playfully tease them, though sometimes he takes it too far. You find yourself thinking, ‘He could have just been a little mischievous, he didn’t need to cause so much chaos!’

I was reading an interview with Nicholas Whitehall, and he told Metro that making this thriller was really unsettling. He actually got a lot of his ideas for the character from Matt Damon’s performance as Tom Ripley in The Talented Mr. Ripley – that’s a pretty cool inspiration, right?
When asked about influences for his portrayal, Jack Whitehall said their version of the character is more similar to Matt Damon’s, emphasizing a playful and charming demeanor. Like Damon’s performance, Whitehall’s character undergoes a significant change in tone throughout the story.
We draw the audience in with a sense of calm, then suddenly surprise them with a twist – and I’m a big fan of thrillers that do that. This movie definitely fits that style.
Malice is streaming now on Prime Video.
