Jack Whitehall Shares Hilarious Family Snap, Reveals He Was ‘Dropped’ by Prince Harry

On Wednesday, Jack Whitehall posted a humorous photo featuring his fiancée Roxy Horner, their daughter Elsie, and themselves enjoying a fun-filled day in Sydney.

36-year-old stand-up comic, in the midst of his current Australian tour featuring his new comedy act, shared a friendly Instagram picture showing his family smiling near a “face-through-hole” cardboard cutout.

In this scene, Jack positioned his face within an apparent female silhouette, holding a baby where Elsie’s head would be, while Roxy playfully inserted her own face into a miniature schoolboy figure.

He captioned the fun-filled snap: ‘My kind of humour.’ 

After the comedian disclosed that he was close friends with Prince Harry before Meghan Markle, he found himself no longer included in their circle once the couple started settling down together.

On Melbourne breakfast radio Nova 100, during his interview with Jase & Lauren, he shared that they were once good friends, particularly when he was a bit of a troublemaker. However, their friendship changed for the better after he met Meghan and began to lead a more settled life within the royal family.

He mentioned that he used to be quite close friends with Prince Harry during his more rebellious phase, before he met Meghan.

Lauren Phillips quickly inquired whether he had been discarded by the ex-royal following his marriage to the previous star of Suits.

He stated, ‘To be honest, I wasn’t a member of his close group… however, we did share some lively evenings together when he was particularly entertaining.’

The one father specifically pointed out that, similar to Harry, he too has decided to take a break from his lively social events.

He quipped, “A demon remains within me… there’s certainly more discussion to be had and I’ve withdrawn funds from the joint account of grudges.

I’ve arranged for my wife to go on a girl’s getaway – I told her, “Enjoy two nights dear,” since I anticipate a guys’ weekend might follow.

Over the course of time, Jack and Prince Harry have often been seen socializing together, with a photo of them appearing at the Royal Variety Performance held at London’s Albert Hall in 2015.

In addition, Jack jokingly commented that he didn’t receive an invitation to Prince Harry’s wedding due to a humorous remark he made during the Royal Variety Show back in 2015.

During Jack’s “Surviving the Summer Break Tour,” Michael, Jack’s father, mentioned, “That’s your friend Harry. Unfortunately, you can no longer associate with him. You are now forbidden… excluded from the Sussex family.

Later, Jack responded, saying, “I believe I was prohibited due to my using the term ‘Ginger Nuts’ during the Royal Variety.

In 2015, during his performance, Jack playfully suggested he would act as a wingman for Prince Harry since the latter was unattached at the moment.

However he started dating Meghan a year later and the pair eventually got married in 2018.

Jack arrived in Australia last month with his model fiancée Roxy Horner and their daughter Elsie.

The family’s vacation to Australia takes place only a few weeks after Roxy publicly announced their engagement, putting an end to much rumor and conjecture.

She confirmed that they were going to get married, since she flaunted her pear-shaped diamond engagement ring a month ago.

On the eve of New Year’s, she posted on Instagram a montage showcasing her favorite moments from the past two months of 2024 – capturing various instances of her stunning engagement ring, as well as the special instant when Jack proposed to her.

To make it clear they were about to get married, she posted a picture of Jack with the caption: “World’s Best Fiance,” accompanied by an emoji depicting a diamond ring.

The video started off by Roxy displaying a balloon shaped like a diamond ring and a Christmas tree ornament designed to represent an engagement box, before she turned her hand to unveil her actual ring.

In one scene, it seemed like Jack might be making a romantic gesture, yet in another setting, Roxy displayed her stunning ring surrounded by a row of illuminated Christmas trees.

Title for the video montage: ‘Struggling to condense a year’s worth of moments into one clip, here’s a glimpse at the enchanting final two months of 2024 – grateful beyond words.’

Last month, she displayed her pear-shaped diamond engagement ring, confirming that the couple was planning to get married.

The video received numerous warm greetings from friends and followers, including a touching message from her future spouse, who wrote merely “My love” accompanied by three heart emojis in red.

Previously, it was speculated that the pair might get married, as the woman flaunted a large diamond ring at Winter Wonderland just last month.

In the photographs, Roxy was captured alongside Jack and Elsie, and there was a noticeable sparkle on her engagement finger – a beautiful tear-drop shaped diamond mounted on a silver ring band.

The duo started dating back in 2020 and had their baby girl, Elsie, in September 2023 at the Lindo Wing – a place that has seen many other royals welcome their children into the world.

Jack found the encounter to be both incredibly intense and delightful, in ways that he never thought possible.

At that moment, he penned down: ‘Amazing! This sudden event left me speechless and filled me with an indescribable joy that surpassed my expectations.’

2025 finds Jack’s career taking flight, as the comedian was recently appointed as the host for the Brit Awards.

The upcoming host of The One Show, previously known for leading a ceremony four times, has been absent from this role since 2021 due to a packed schedule.
