I was so touched to hear that Jack Whitehall has paid tribute to Archie Lyndhurst, Nicholas Lyndhurst’s son, who sadly passed away five years ago. It means a lot to see people remembering him.
Archie passed away peacefully in his sleep after a brain bleed caused by a very rare type of cancer called acute lymphoblastic lymphoma. This condition affects around 800 people annually.
The 19-year-old, who had appeared in TV shows like So Awkward and Jack’s comedy Bad Education, was a rising actor. He also showed entrepreneurial flair, launching his own clothing brand, Fated To Pretend, back in 2017.
According to The Sun, Jack is supporting the release of a fashion line created by the late Archie as a way to honor his memory.
A source shared that Archie was deeply passionate about his clothing brand, and his family and friends are committed to continuing it as a way to honor his memory.
‘A lot of hard work has gone into it and Jack was proud to play a small role.’

Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Jack for comment.
Nicholas and Lucy, heartbroken by the loss of their son, plan to revive his brand as the fifth anniversary of his death—September 30th—approaches. They see it as a way to honor his memory.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve noticed how beautifully people blend personal and professional lives online. This weekend, Lucy did just that on Instagram! She shared a quick video promoting a brand she’s working with, and it was especially touching because she paired it with a heartfelt message for her son. It really showed how you can keep things real even while building your brand.
She shared the video with a caption saying, ‘To Archie, from your incredibly proud parents. There are still people who haven’t met you yet! We love you. – Mom and Dad.’
Fated To Pretend is coming back on October 4th, after originally being created eight years ago by Archie as a way to express his passion for skateboarding.
He explained that his band, Fated To Pretend, began when he was 17, inspired by his interests in skateboarding and streetwear. He shared this in March 2020, just six months before he passed away.
I initially planned to start a skateboard company because I wasn’t focused on designing clothes.
He explained that when he turned eighteen, he began exploring his passions and realized he wanted to create something original. He used the challenges he was facing personally as inspiration for his work, ‘Fated To Pretend’.

This brand is deeply personal to me because it grew out of my own experiences and struggles, and that’s what fuels my passion for it.
I’m endlessly passionate about ‘Fated To Pretend,’ and it will likely be my lifelong work. I truly love this project and plan to continue developing it for as long as I live.
Nicholas, famous for playing the somewhat clueless Rodney Trotter in ‘Only Fools and Horses,’ and his wife Lucy were heartbroken when their son Archie unexpectedly suffered a brain haemorrhage.
In September 2021, on the first anniversary of his death, Lucy shared on social media: ‘It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since he’s been gone.’
We’re so grateful for the outpouring of love and support for our sweet boy. Your friendship and kindness mean the world to us.
Losing you has been the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through, a true test of strength. Honestly, not a moment goes by that I don’t feel your absence. It feels like life dealt us the most unfair hand imaginable, and we’re just trying to navigate it, one day at a time.

It’s hard to describe how incredibly painful the quiet feels now. I love Archie with absolutely everything I am, and that love will never fade. We’re all so thankful for every single moment we shared with him; it truly was an honor to have him in our lives.
She explained that not everyone finds a love like theirs, but from morning till night, their lives were full of it.
We love and miss you so much – it’s impossible to put into words. Thank you for being a part of our lives. We cherish every memory we have with you, and we have so many wonderful ones.
You’re the most amazing person I’ll ever be lucky enough to know. I love you more than words can say, always and forever.
