Jack Vidgen Announces His Heartbreaking Seventh Rehab Fight with Addiction

Previously known reality TV personality, Jack Vidgen, has resurfaced on social media, sharing the unfortunate update that he’s been admitted to a rehab center for the seventh occasion.

On Saturday, the 28-year-old shared an emotional update about his health condition, letting his followers know that he’s dealing with a recurrence of his struggle with addiction.

Hey there, it turns out this isn’t the video I had planned for Instagram five months from now since I haven’t posted anything lately,” Jack explained.

Choking back sobs, Jack detailed his recent experience.

‘I relapsed, that was two months ago,’ he said.

In a similar vein, I find myself in a position where I believe I’ve disappointed many individuals. Initially, I thought I wouldn’t bring it up again due to the other part of me saying, “Who would care about your troubles?” But here I am, ready to share my thoughts.

Additionally, Jack disclosed that he filed a police complaint regarding an undisclosed issue which has left him feeling apprehensive.

However, it seems I find myself compelled to share with someone about an upcoming issue I’ll be facing in a few months.

He went on, expressing his feelings, “I’m honestly quite terrified. For such a long time now, this fear has persisted.

Five years ago, I filed a police report and it feels as if a heavy, persistent shadow has hung over my life ever since. I simply yearn for this situation to come to an end, and in reaching out today, I hope that we can find a way to bring closure.

As someone who’s walked that path myself, I can truly empathize with those struggling with addiction. If you too have been affected by this challenging journey, you might grasp the depth of my words even more profoundly.

Recently, I’ve found things extremely challenging, and I feel the need to discuss these issues as talking about them could provide some relief. However, I find myself struggling to connect with people who truly understand what I’m going through.

To put it simply, the purpose of this video is mainly to greet you and check-in, while also sharing that I’ve been having a tough time lately. But rest assured, I’ll get through it.

Additionally, he made it a point to explain his current health situation, as fans had noticed changes in his appearance and seemed delighted by his recent return to posting on Jack’s platform, following the upload of his first story after an absence of five months.

He remarked, “I wasn’t feeling particularly joyful; I’d just gotten a spray tan, was forcing a smile, and was posing with flexed arms.

‘That’s all it was – smoke and mirrors.’

He signed off by telling followers that he was not ‘doing okay’ but he would be ‘okay’.

I simply wanted to express my heartfelt affection for each one of you and extend my deepest thanks for the love and support you’ve shown me. I am now in a secure environment, and I feel compelled to embrace life more than ever before. You are all deeply cherished.

Jack, who’s been open about his struggles with addiction on social media platforms for quite some time now, also included a detailed message along with the video he posted.

In his latest post, he stated, ‘It’s not the video I had anticipated sharing after my Instagram break, but I’m back nonetheless.’

Reframing the statement for a more approachable and empowering tone, here’s one way: “I find myself on my 7th rehab stay, which is certainly humbling, but at the same time, I am striving to draw upon the resilience that others speak of when they say it takes courage to keep persevering.

In a heartbreaking turn of events, this latest slip-up has left me feeling isolated and distant from many of my cherished friends, as well as pushing away those dear to me. It’s as if the light at the end of the tunnel had dimmed, leaving me with little hope for myself.

It deeply saddens me to think about individuals who lack the means to seek help at a rehabilitation center when they require it, stirring within me a great sense of empathy and a wish for their well-being.

I’m anxious about what lies ahead, as I face a long-standing issue in the upcoming months that has caused me great distress for five years now – something I wouldn’t want anyone else to experience. Despite my fear, I need to muster up my courage and stand firm in who I am.

‘As a victim of sexual abuse I will get through this. Alive.

‘I love you all. Jack x.’

The singer Rhonda Burchmore expressed encouragement to the performer by sending a message saying, “Sending you lots of love and strength.

Former Packed to the Rafters star Hugh Sheridan also posted his best wishes.

‘Hang in there Jack, you’ve got this,’ he said.

Entrepreneur Samuel Levi also sent a message to Jack

He expressed, “Jack, there are more individuals supporting you than what you might think. Wishing you a flood of affection and empowering vibes.

It comes after Jack revealed on Boxing Day that he had been readmitted to a rehabilitation centre.

Reflecting on his recent past, Jack candidly shared that he spent the holiday season at a rehabilitation center this year.

The performer rose to fame after winning the fifth season of Australia’s Got Talent in 2011.

Following a brief hiatus from public attention, he reemerged in significance in 2019 by participating in The Voice competition.

He made it all the way to the semi-finals before being eliminated.
