Jack Tweed Remembers Jade Goody on Their 16th Wedding Anniversary: A Heartfelt Tribute
16 years ago, Jade Goody’s husband Jack Tweed recalled their wedding day as if it just happened yesterday, commemorating the anniversary of their union.
On February 22nd, 2009, the couple got married at a charming countryside manor called Down Hall, nestled close to Hatfield Heath in Essex. Regrettably, Jade lost her life due to cervical cancer only a month later, at the tender age of 27.
And taking to his Instagram stories, Jack, 37, fondly remembered his late wife with a sweet post.
Jack, who admitted his hesitance about remarrying, wrote: ‘Sixteen years ago feels as if it happened just yesterday.’
In addition, his mother Mary made a comment on his post, noting that he has consistently celebrated this event without fail for every passing year.
With just a few weeks remaining in her life, this heartbreaking mother of two learned that her cervical cancer had advanced to the point of being terminal and had metastasized to her liver, intestines, and groin, on their wedding day.
She died while asleep in her Essex family home, exactly one month after marrying Jack.
Before my current relationship, I was in a partnership with television host Jeff Brazier. Together, we welcomed two wonderful boys into our lives: Bobby, now 21, and Freddie, who is 20 years old.
After Jack, who disclosed in July that his girlfriend Ellie Sargeant was expecting, admitted he feels hesitant about remarrying, even though he’s extremely content with Ellie.
When queried about potentially remarrying, he shared with The Sun his thoughts: “Yes, yet within me, I have reservations whether I would remarry again. Frankly, I feel as if I’ve already experienced everything that comes with marriage since I’ve previously been hitched.
He continued: ‘I know it sounds a bit horrible.’
It’s clear that marriage is on the horizon for her, yet what I truly yearn for is a lifetime with her. Amazingly, we’ve managed to avoid any arguments since we started dating.
He also admitted he wants to ‘be with her forever’ as they ‘get on so well’.
Jack previously spoke about how he ‘can’t wait’ to start a family with her.
He expressed his joy to the media upon learning that Ellie was expecting, feeling confident now that he has overcome his struggles in his twenties, ready to embrace fatherhood.
In his darkest times, Jack battled alcohol and drug abuse due to the loss of Jade. Yet, the star has managed to transform his life and is eager to begin a fresh phase.
He acknowledged that he has matured significantly from his youthful years, and he openly stated that it’s important for him to find happiness within himself.
In the year 2022, Jack and Ellie crossed paths, thanks to some common acquaintances in Essex. They chose to make their romantic involvement known to the world in September of that very year.
I couldn’t contain my excitement when I declared that I’ve long dreamed of having children, expressing my conviction that Jade would’ve been thrilled, as she’s always held the belief that I’d make an exceptional father.
He served as the stepfather to Jade’s two sons, who were born from her past relationship with Jeff Brazier. However, he openly acknowledged his desire to have biological children of his own.
