In 2018, the four-time Academy Award nominee, aged 34 like Lowden, first crossed paths with him during their shared role in “Mary Queen of Scots.” They recently exchanged vows in a ceremony held in Edinburgh just last month.
She played the title role while Lowden played Lord Darnley, the monarch’s husband.
In December 2018, they began a romantic relationship, and more recently, they collaborated on the production of the drama series “The Outrun,” which was set in Orkney and featured Ronan as the main character.

Born and raised in the Scottish Borders, Lowden pursued his passion for drama by attending the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow for acting studies.

In that very same year, the actor who portrayed Dunkirk chose not to discuss their relationship during an interview with ES Magazine, opting instead to keep such matters private.

Earlier this summer, the pair were spotted at the Glastonbury Music Festival in England.
