Black teamed up with singer Cee-Lo Green on a reimagined rendition of “Kung Fu Fighting” by Carl Douglas. In this case, Kung Fu Panda adapted the tune specifically for Black and Cee-Lo to perform, with the original track playing during the closing credits. After Dewey and his band mates suffer a defeat in the Battle of the Bands from School of Rock, Dewey expresses a sense of disheartening over their “loss” to his fellow musicians behind the scenes. However, the students remind him of the lessons he imparted: victory was never the goal, but instead it was about rocking out and sharing music with the world. Even in defeat, the audience demanded an encore performance from them.

The band performs the timeless hit “It’s a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock ‘n’ Roll)” by AC/DC during the end credits of the movie “School of Rock.” As they perform, we learn that Dewey, the main character, established his own after-school program called School of Rock to carry on teaching and keep the band united, as depicted in the film.
