Actress Marsha Thomason, who stars in ITV’s “The Bay,” has shared that a particular scene from season 5 brought her to tears.
Last night, the crime drama series based in Lancashire aired its latest installment, marking the beginning of another intriguing murder case for Detective Sergeant Jenn Townsend to unravel. And here’s an additional piece of news: Another episode is scheduled to air tonight!
Once more, we have a substantial ensemble ready for this case, and it was actor Leanne Best from “Cold Feet” and “Ripper Street” who moved Thomason to tears.

She enjoys playing the character Jenn, and there’s much to explore about her. I am truly thankful for this opportunity,” she expressed. [From Radio Times]
One vivid memory that surfaces is the moment when Jenn approaches Julie (portrayed by Leanne) to share the heartbreaking news about her daughter’s passing.

We practiced it, and let me tell you, Leanne is simply remarkable in this show. She’s an exceptionally talented actor. However, during this rehearsal, her performance left me speechless. I couldn’t keep my emotions in check; I found myself crying uncontrollably.
I found myself unable to serve as a family liaison officer. The emotional intensity of the experience was overwhelming; she was present throughout, touching at every turn. Even during rehearsals, the atmosphere was electrifying… truly amazing. It’s an honor beyond words to have the opportunity to share these heartfelt tales.
In everyday experiences, individuals encounter such hardships. It’s true that they face genuine atrocities. I find the struggle invigorating, I appreciate the intensity of it all. I have an amazing time and end up feeling utterly exhausted.

As a gamer, I can say that Best really delivers the raw, unfiltered feelings that I haven’t seen portrayed so authentically in games up until now. Daragh Carville mentioned this, and he’s spot on!
He mentioned that we’re investigating the effects of losing someone and experiencing grief, but he emphasized that this topic isn’t only about suffering, as it’s also about discovering paths to cope with grief and eventually moving past it.
