In an interview with RadioTimes, she excitedly announced that the second season of my series, “Karen Pirie,” will be released this summer. It’s been some time since we wrapped up filming, so this is particularly thrilling news!

As a passionate gamer, I can hardly contain my excitement as I eagerly await the premiere of this series on Sunday nights on ITV. This time around, the story revolves around the kidnapping of a billionaire heiress, making it more grandiose and exhilarating than ever before. I can’t wait for everyone to witness it!

In the upcoming season, we’ll delve deeper into the reexamination of a 1984 incident involving oil heiress Catriona Grant and her child who were abducted under threat of violence. The suspected motive behind this crime is believed to have been politically driven.

A massive inquiry triggers a relentless media frenzy… however, when the suspects mysteriously cease communicating, the case goes stale. Neither Cat nor Adam are ever heard from or spotted again.” (The synopsis states)

In a turn of events, if a man’s remains are found after forty years, Karen Pirie is tasked with delving into the cold case under strict confidentiality.

The upcoming season will also feature several fresh characters, portrayed by Julia Brown from “World on Fire,” James Cosmo known for his role in “Game of Thrones,” Frances Tomelty from “Unforgotten,” John Michie hailing from “Holby City,” and Mark Rowley, who was previously seen in “One Day.

Additionally, we have Saskia Ashdown playing DC Isla Stark from Six Four, Thoren Ferguson portraying DI Anderson in Rebus, and Helen Katamba taking on the role of DC Laurel Blair.

This version maintains the original meaning but uses simpler language and a more conversational tone, making it easier for readers to understand.

Karen Pirie airs on ITV1 and ITVX.

The inaugural print edition of Digital Spy’s magazine titled “British Comedy Legends” is available! You can purchase it from your local newsstands or online, currently selling for only £3.99.
