ITV’s new golden girl! Coleen Rooney’s £1.5m I’m A Celeb stint is just the start of her TV career as channel hopes to make WAG their ‘biggest star with more show deals and This Morning appearances’
As a seasoned viewer of reality TV shows and a follower of football WAGs’ lives, I find myself utterly captivated by the upcoming events unfolding in the jungle and on our screens. The Rooney family saga has been a rollercoaster ride, with Coleen’s investigative prowess and Rebekah’s media antics keeping us all on our toes.
ITV is planning to make Coleen Rooney their new golden girl.
38-year-old star from WAG (Wives and Girlfriends of Footballers) has set a new record by signing the largest contract worth £1.5million in the 22-year run of I’m A Celebrity, agreeing to spend time in the jungle for this amount.
In preparation for the upcoming series debut on Sunday, ITV is planning extensive coverage to catapult Coleen into stardom. They will air her Disney+ documentary about the Wagatha Christie case on Thursday.
Based on inside sources, network executives are optimistic that this marks the beginning of an extended collaboration with Colleen, leaving room for significant television agreements and invitations for spots on This Morning.
A reliable source informed TopMob that ITV has been requesting her participation in ‘I’m A Celebrity’ for quite some time, while also inviting her to appear on other programs such as This Morning.
She’s consistently turned things down, but now it’s her moment to shine. She’s set to become the highest-paid celebrity on I’m A Celebrity. With this opportunity comes a chance for substantial TV contracts.
Time has come for Coleen. ITV believes she strikes a chord with the audience, and she might just claim the title of “Queen of the Jungle.” ITV intends to take this chance, and so does she.
‘Wayne’s football career is over now and it is her turn to shine. Wayne is so supportive of her.
‘She’s been offered so many shows in the past and now she’s going to say yes.’
In 2021, Wayne, aged 39, hung up his football boots and now serves as the coach for Plymouth Argyle, a team competing in the English Football League Championship.
Employers are optimistic that Coleen’s fame might significantly increase viewership for the broadcasting company, given the challenging period they experienced after Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby left “This Morning” program.
Holly, who is 43 years old, spent a total of 14 years on the program before deciding to step aside and allow Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard to take over her role instead.
Prior to her upcoming trip to Australia, Colleen shared that she had declined opportunities to appear on I’m A Celebrity in the past because she believed her four sons, Kai (13), Klay (10), Kit (7), and Cass (5), were not yet ready. However, she now feels it’s the appropriate moment for this venture.
Coleen Roney’s public backing has significantly increased following her high-profile legal battle with longtime adversary, Rebekah Vardy, who is now 42 years old, in the Wagatha Christie court case.
The trial that saw Coleen emerge victorious took place following a socially viral post on social media in October 2019. In this post, Coleen revealed she had conducted an undercover operation and accused Rebekah’s Instagram account of disseminating fabricated stories about her personal life to the media.
Rebekah lost the libel case and was ordered to pay up to £1.5million towards Coleen’s legal fees.
According to the source, ‘The court case deflated her confidence, yet it made her understand that life is brief, and she’s determined to seize the moment, with a hint of retaliation directed towards Rebekah Vardy.’
Becky Vardy’s ambition was primarily focused on being on television, while Coleen is aware that her brilliance will outshine Becky in the spotlight.
TopMob has contacted Coleen’s representatives and ITV for comment.
Apart from Rebekah, she has a strong bond with ITV. She was part of I’m A Celebrity in 2017, appeared on Dancing On Ice in 2021, and frequently served as a guest panelist and host on Loose Women, making numerous appearances there.
Colleen Rooney, wife of Jamie Vardy, allegedly received approximately £100,000, which is a small fraction compared to the estimated £1.5 million earnings she’s projected to make.
She has jetted off on a week long holiday to Dubai as Coleen heads into the jungle.
According to a source, it was conveniently timed that Jamie had a free weekend from his duties with Leicester, given the international break. They decided to take advantage of the situation and enjoy some warm weather together.
‘But it isn’t lost on Becky that she will be sipping her champagne while Coleen will be eating witchetty grubs. Becky thinks it’s hilarious and of course she will be tuning into the show.
She’ll view the scene from an envy-inducing hotel suite, while Coleen makes do with her time in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!. Nevertheless, Rebekah intends to flaunt it for all to see.
In the meantime, long-standing co-hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are brainstorming jests related to Rebecca Loos (Becky), in connection with Coleen Rooney, during their conversation on the program.
According to a source close to the production, discussions about scripts and filming have led to some amusing suggestions, such as instituting a “swear jar.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’ve come up with an intriguing concept for a plan – it’s reminiscent of the classic Cluedo game with Coleen as our detective. However, it seems there’s a twist in the tale. Rumors abound that Rebekah has her legal eagles keeping tabs on the proceedings, as she owns the trademark to the nickname Wagatha Christie.
‘It’ll all be tongue in cheek but Rebekah probably won’t see it that way. She’s still very bitter.’
Before embarking on her jungle adventure, there were whispers that she might not have to participate in certain Bush Challenge tasks due to her condition of reactive arthritis, a health issue that impacts joints and can be triggered by stress.
Previously, it was mentioned that the star experienced a debilitating phase of that condition, largely attributed to the tension surrounding her high-profile court case against Rebekah in the Wagatha Christie affair.
In a video message to her 1 million Instagram followers, Coleen clarified the rumors about potential setbacks, adding that she would not shy away from any topics.
She said: ‘I would like to experience it, something different, do something for myself, meet new people. I’m looking forward to doing the trials.
Contrary to some recent reports suggesting that I may be unable to participate in trials due to specific health conditions, I’d like to clarify that I can indeed take part in every trial without exception. The assertion that I might be excluded from any trial was nothing more than misinformation.
I’m A Celebrity stars on ITV and ITVX at 9pm on Sunday 17th November.
