ITV has released a sneak peek trailer for its new psychological thriller, Gone, starring Eve Myles. David Morrissey, known for Sherwood, will co-star alongside Myles in the six-episode series, which premieres this spring on ITV and STV.
Morrissey and Myles star in the suspenseful mystery, where Morrissey plays Michael Polly, a local school principal who becomes the main suspect when his wife, Sarah, goes missing.
Michael Polly appears to be a perfect citizen – organized, precise, and respected. But when he meets the determined and clever Detective Annie Cassidy, she begins to unravel his carefully constructed image as she investigates a hidden truth, leading to a tense and intriguing game of pursuit.

Beyond the initial puzzle, the story delves into issues of trauma, broken trust, and the lasting impact of powerful organizations.
The one-minute trailer for Gone offers a glimpse of the suspenseful back-and-forth between Annie, played by Myles, and Michael, played by Morrissey, and shows how Michael’s life begins to fall apart as the investigation progresses.

The new series draws inspiration from the novel To Hunt a Killer, which itself is based on the real-life experiences of Julie Mackay, a former Detective Superintendent with the Gloucestershire Police. The book was co-written by Robert Murphy, ITV’s Crime Correspondent, who has covered many of the most significant criminal cases in the West of England.
Jennifer Macbeth, known for her role in Maternal, also appears in the new thriller series created and written by George Kay. She stars with Arthur Hughes, Nicholas Nunn, Billy Barratt, Rupert Evans, Elliot Cowan, Oscar Batterham, Jodie McNee, and Clare Higgins.
BAFTA-winning director Richard Laxton helms the series, with Mark Hedges as producer. Joining them as co-executive producers are Willow Grylls (known for The Missing) and Matt Sandford (The Long Shadow), and Mackay and Murphy provide consultation.
Gone will arrive on ITV and STV in spring.
