ITV Weather’s Lucy Verasamy stuns on the beach as she enjoys a sun-kissed getaway to Antigua

I was so excited to see Lucy Verasamy from ITV Weather sharing photos from her Caribbean vacation! She looked absolutely radiant and totally soaked up the sun – a real warm front indeed! It’s lovely to see her enjoying some time off.

The 45-year-old television weather presenter escaped the cold British winter for a luxurious vacation in Antigua, which she was visiting for the first time.

Lucy took to Instagram to share photos shared photos of her trip with her 194,000 followers.

Standing on a beautiful sandy beach, Lucy exclaimed how wonderful it was to get some early winter sunshine and enjoy a relaxing week in the warm Caribbean.

The broadcaster visited Galley Bay Resort & Spa in Antigua, a popular all-inclusive resort for adults and part of the Elite Island Resorts group, known as one of the best in the Caribbean.

Lucy described her vacation as a dream come true, especially when she saw her room. It was right on the beach and had a balcony with stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. The room itself was beautiful, with high, arched ceilings, wooden beams, and ceiling fans.

The space felt both spacious and welcoming, like a comfortable home. I especially appreciated the little details, such as the large pieces of driftwood used as towel hooks in the bathroom. These thoughtful touches were everywhere at the resort, and really showed their commitment to sustainability.

Lucy began her day with a relaxing yoga class at the resort, practicing in a beautiful pavilion overlooking the ocean.

During her stay she also visited the open-air Indulge Spa, which made a lasting impression.

After her treatment, she described it as an incredibly beautiful experience. She mentioned having a massage with a view of the lagoon, and felt so relaxed afterward that she strolled back to her room along the beach, still wearing her bathrobe, almost in a dreamlike state.

Lucy took a Behind the Seeds tour to discover how Galley Bay Resort grows the ingredients for its delicious food. The resort has a successful organic garden and farm where they grow fresh herbs, fruits, and vegetables, allowing them to serve farm-to-table cuisine.

Lucy raved about Galley Bay, calling it one of the most delightful places she’d ever visited. She especially loved the simple pleasure of walking to breakfast, describing a path that wound through beautiful tropical gardens filled with birdsong and the sound of nearby waves.

Lucy didn’t just relax by the beach or pool; she also loved exploring the resort on a bike and playing tennis on a beautiful court that felt like something from a movie.

Galley Bay was the ideal place to stay, and we truly enjoyed every minute of it. The staff were all incredibly helpful, friendly, and relaxed, which made our experience even better.

Galley Bay works with AB Sea Turtle Awareness to protect endangered sea turtles, offering a secure nesting spot for Green, Hawksbill, Leatherback, and sometimes Loggerhead turtles.

Lucy met Ashton, the founder of AB Sea Turtle Awareness and the resort’s nature expert, and quickly grew fond of him, playfully calling him ‘the Antiguan Attenborough.’ It was a truly special encounter.

Ashton and his team were carefully watching over several turtle nests on the beach. Lucy was lucky enough to see baby turtles hatch on the resort’s shoreline and discovered that mother turtles always return to the same beach where they hatched to lay their own eggs.
