ITV is retiring the channel ITVBe in a major shake-up.
In June, there will be a reorganization that involves shifting ITVBe’s reality shows like “The Only Way is Essex” and the “Real Housewives” franchise to a different channel as they will combine with ITV2, resulting in a new home for these series.
As a dedicated gamer, I can’t wait to see my favorite gaming competitions airing side by side with ITV2’s other reality TV hits, like Love Island and Big Brother. And the best part? These thrilling shows will still be available for streaming on ITVX.
Additionally, you’ll find exclusive originals like “G’Wed” and “Transaction” on the revamped ITV2 channel as well.
Starting from now, ITVBe, a channel that debuted in 2014, is set to close permanently. In its place will rise ITV Quiz, a new channel dedicated to broadcasting ITV’s collection of quiz and game shows.
However, the merger won’t mean the demise of our beloved ITVBe series. Instead, many shows are set to come back with fresh episodes.
The reality TV show “TOWIE,” consistently popular on ITVX, is set to come back on television screens this year. It will celebrate its 15th anniversary by airing a special series during the fall season.
The reality show, originally from Essex, aired its first 12 seasons on ITV2. Later, it shifted to ITVBe. Now, for the special anniversary series, it’s coming back to where it all started – ITV2.
Additionally, it’s likely that fresh programs will be added to our collection, since Sam Faiers and her sister Billie Faiers are teaming up once more for the show titled “Sam & Billie: Sister Act.
Additionally, you’ll find “Olivia Attwood’s Bad Boyfriends” on ITV2’s schedule for the coming period. This popular series is set to come back for its second season on the channel in 2022.
