ITV releases “striking” first look at new high-stakes and “cinematic” spy thriller

ITV unveiled a set of captivating previews for the upcoming espionage drama titled “Secret Service“, featuring the talented actress, Gemma Arterton.

The five-part series is an adaptation of Tom Bradby’s novel and stars Gemma Arterton from “The King’s Man,” Alex Kingston known for her role in “Doctor Who,” Roger Allam famous for his work in “The Thick of It,” and Rafe Spall, who played a significant role in “The Life of Pi.

The official synopsis gives us a taste of what we can expect from the plot.

Thrilling, current, and film-like, the series ‘Secret Service’ delves into the life of senior MI6 agent Kate Henderson, played by Gemma Arterton. An undercover probe suggests that a prominent British politician could be secretly collaborating with Russia.

As a devoted admirer, I find myself immersed in the tale of Kate, who’s grappling with the broken trust that hangs heavy over her, risking her professional standing. She’s navigating the treacherous landscape of political allegiances, international perils, and personal sacrifices – all while holding onto hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Initially released images capture Arterton engaged in scenes, while also highlighting the picturesque Maltese settings that served as our filming locations.

In other news, ITV has officially announced the premiere date for season 2 of the medical drama “Malpractice”. They shared that the series will be broadcasted across three consecutive nights, starting in a week.

This upcoming Sunday (27 April), the broadcaster has decided to air the Australian drama “Fake” a week later than originally planned.
