ITV pulls the plug on legendary presenter’s big TV comeback by AXING show after just one series –  despite star being ‘convinced he was on to a winning idea’

The higher-ups at ITV have decided to discontinue Noel Edmonds’ most recent television venture, Kiwi Adventure, following only a single season.

In a three-part series, we took a look at the life of the ex-host of Deal or No Deal, who is now 76 years old, as he embarked on a new journey in New Zealand with his wife Elizabeth Davies, aged 55.

As reported by The Sun, Noel initially aspired for the show to regularly air on the channel, but unfortunately, those hopes have been shattered now.

The ITV representative told the Daily Mail on Thursday that there are no immediate plans for additional new episodes, however, viewers can still watch the show on ITVX.

The news reportedly comes as a blow to Noel, who believed he was onto a winning formula.

A TV insider told The Sun: ‘It’s a blow to Noel as he was convinced he was on to a winning idea.

Word-for-word translation: The series generated a lot of excitement, and it was appreciated by both audiences and reviewers.

There was widespread enthusiasm for the series, and it was applauded by both spectators and experts in the field.

Known as the New Zealand equivalent of Clarkson’s Farm, Kiwi Adventure provided an insightful peek into Noel’s unusual interests, particularly his enthusiasm for crystal healing and eco-friendly lifestyles.

As a devoted fan, I’ve learned from my personal sources within the star’s circle that the catastrophic weather conditions significantly contributed to the demise of the show.

As a dedicated admirer, I can’t help but share this heartbreaking news: My beloved River Haven estate has suffered severely from flooding, making it nearly unworkable. It’s a devastating blow to me and all those who cherish its beauty.

The source mentioned that filming would have faced significant challenges, but as for Noel, the production of the show has temporarily halted.

Once again, Noel is encountering a setback. His most recent major return to television was in 2018 when he joined I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! as ITV’s highest-paid participant; however, he was the first celebrity eliminated from the competition.

As a devoted enthusiast, I found my breakthrough in the vibrant ’70s, gracing the airwaves of BBC Radio 1. Known for my playful on-air demeanor and magnetic pull towards the youthful audience, I became a notable figure during that era.

His radio achievements swiftly paved the way for his move to television, making him one of the most familiar figures on British televisions.

Through popular programs such as Multi-Colored Swap Shop, The Late, Late Breakfast Show, and Noel’s House Party, he gained widespread recognition during the 1980s and 90s. These shows, which featured the famous character Mr Blobby, solidified his status as a weekly TV mainstay on Saturdays and established him as a household name.

Back in the early part of this year, ITV previewed Noel’s New Zealand Journey as one of their upcoming projects. This tantalizing glimpse offered fans a look at Noel’s life in the countryside overseas following his departure from the UK in 2018.

As a devoted follower, I, along with my beloved spouse Liz, embarked on a new journey in 2019 when we relocated to the captivating land of New Zealand. Now, we proudly call an expansive 800-acre estate nestled amidst the serene riverside town of Ngatimoti our own.

Since then, the pair established a thriving hospitality venture encompassing a winery, a general store, a coffee stand, a dining establishment, and a tavern.

Noel Edmonds’ Kiwi Adventure is still available to stream on ITVX.
