ITV officially announced when the last, 14th season of Vera will air, along with plans for a special episode as a goodbye tribute.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that the crime drama starring Brenda Blethyn as the chief inspector would come to an end after its upcoming series, marking the close of almost 15 years on the air.
The final two episodes of the series are set to broadcast on Wednesday, January 1st and Thursday, January 2nd, both starting at 8pm on ITV1. These airings will let fans catch the concluding chapter.
Furthermore, a documentary named “Vera: Farewell Pet” will be broadcasted the night after tomorrow (3rd January) at 9pm on the same channel. This special program promises to delve into the lasting charm of the show and its deep influence on both fans and actors, as reported by TV Zone UK.

She mentioned that there seems to be a personal issue with Detective Inspector Joe Ashworth (David Leon) which he’s keeping private. Vera is eager to uncover the truth behind this matter.
“We know he came back to the area because his father was ill. He passed away [which] we’ve already seen.
She mentioned that Joe hasn’t appeared yet from the dungeon, which worries Vera. Furthermore, she pointed out that if it were her, a significant choice would be on the horizon.
Vera will return at 8pm on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 on ITV1 and ITVX.
