It’s time to move on from the Judgment Day

As a lifelong WWE fan who has witnessed countless storylines unfold, I must admit that Judgment Day has been one of the most intriguing and captivating factions in recent memory. From its humble beginnings to its meteoric rise, it’s been a rollercoaster ride of epic proportions. However, like a well-worn comic book, even the best stories must come to an end.

In the October 28 broadcast of WWE Monday Night Raw, the show concluded with another segment featuring Judgment Day. Standing in the ring, Damian Priest fixed his gaze on the members of his former alliance, who had just cost him a match against Dominick Mysterio. This scene echoed a common theme in professional wrestling. However, it’s time for this narrative to come to an end since the Judgment Day storyline has clearly reached its conclusion.

To put it frankly, the Judgment Day faction surpassed all expectations, transforming from a team that initially showcased Edge in a humorous role, to a crucial element of the weekly programming. Over time, Finn Balor won tag titles with both Damian Priest and JD McDonagh. In due course, Priest claimed the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, while Liv Morgan took over as WWE Women’s World Champion. While many aspects have evolved, this group has consistently maintained its central role every Monday night.

Although this faction’s dominance has produced some positive outcomes, it’s now time to transition beyond them. Priest hinted at another bid for the main event title, aiming to become a champion. Let’s concentrate on that endeavor. The ongoing feud between Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan, with its intricate complexities resembling Dom’s love story, needs resolution as well. It’s advisable to wrap up this narrative arc too. Balor and McDonaugh show promise as a formidable tag team, and there are numerous other teams they could engage in extended storylines with.

It appears Dominick Mysterio often finds himself in unique situations, typically linked with Rhea Ripley/Liv Morgan or his father, Rey Mysterio. It’s challenging to envision him engaged in other feuds that seem fitting. Recently, there’s been a lot of positive feedback for his portrayal as a cunning villain. Leaving the protection of Judgment Day will be an important trial for his future success as a sports entertainer.

In summary, Liv Morgan’s storyline continues in the women’s division, where she and Ripley are locked in a prolonged feud over their shared losses. The title, unfortunately, seems to take a backseat as merely a decorative prop. It’s worth noting that Raw’s women’s roster is brimming with skill and potential, making it puzzling why more contenders aren’t being introduced to challenge for the championship. Liv Morgan, in particular, could benefit from more frequent title defenses.

As an ardent WWE fan, I’ve long admired the significant influence that Judgment Day has held within the wrestling world. Despite The Bloodline capturing much of our attention lately, Judgment Day has been a constant presence across all three brands, never failing to make an impact. Yet, it’s high time we reconsider their faction and embark on fresh paths for each member, opening up exciting new possibilities.
