
Big changes are happening with The Simpsons. Al Jean, the show’s writer and showrunner, announced on X (formerly Twitter) that next week’s episode will be his last in that role… for the time being.
After Sunday’s episode of The Simpsons, executive producer Al Jean announced on social media that next week’s episode will be the last one he’ll oversee as showrunner – though he’s still excited to continue working on the show. He also jokingly mentioned that the episode featured work from a talented new director and a writer he constantly pushes to improve.
