Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are officially headed for divorce.
Regarding the latest developments in their split, the Academy Award-winning actress from “The Hours” officially filed for divorce from her country music singer husband on Tuesday in Nashville. Both TMZ and People magazine reported the filing, but haven’t shared details about when the couple officially separated. According to TMZ, the soon-to-be ex-spouses have already signed a “Marital Dissolution Agreement” that covers things like a plan for raising their children, details about child support, and a requirement to attend a “Parenting Seminar Order.”
Nicole Kidman, 58, and Keith Urban, 57, have separated after being married for 19 years, marking the occasion in June. Representatives for both Kidman and Urban did not immediately respond on Tuesday when asked for a statement.

The couple initially connected over 20 years ago at a G’Day USA event in Los Angeles, thanks to Australian actor Geoffrey Rush. A year later, in June 2006, they got married in a small, private ceremony in Sydney. They then had two daughters: Sunday, born in 2008, and Faith, born in 2010. Nicole Kidman also has two children from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise.
According to a report in The Times confirmed on Monday, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have been living apart since earlier this year. Keith Urban began his High and Alive world tour in May and has since moved out of their shared home in Nashville. He’s now living in a separate residence, also located in the city known for country music. The couple has not publicly addressed the separation.
While Keith Urban is traveling, Nicole Kidman has been managing things at home and looking after their two daughters, as first reported by TMZ regarding the couple’s separation. According to a source who spoke with People magazine, Kidman made efforts to reconcile and save the marriage.
