It’s almost over! Michelle Keegan explains why she’s “really sad” to say goodbye to this beloved TV role

She described *Brassic* as feeling like a second home, explaining that she always looked forward to returning to the set each year after working on other projects. Keegan acknowledged it will be a difficult change, explaining, “It’ll really feel different this year knowing it’s not returning.”

The comedy series *Brassic*, which began in 2019, will air its final season on September 25th. Before the premiere, Digital Spy had an exclusive interview with stars Ryan Sampson and Tom Hanson, who play Tommo and Cardi respectively, about the show’s emotional ending.

Sampson described the show as intensely dramatic and often disturbing. He warned that the latest episode is particularly upsetting, but also exciting and entertaining despite its darkness.

Hanson shared his thoughts on working with the cast, describing them as a very close group. He said, “We’ve shared a significant part of our lives together, and while the future is uncertain, I hope we’ll always have the opportunity to work together again. It would be fascinating to see how everyone has changed in twenty years.”

Although Keegan and her fellow actors are disappointed the show is ending, Keegan has a lot coming up. She’s confirmed to be filming *The Blame*, a six-episode drama for ITV, where she’ll play DCI Emma Crane alongside Douglas Booth.

The series opens with the discovery of teenage figure skater Sophie Madsen’s body, which deeply impacts the town of Wakestead. Detectives Crane and Radley begin investigating, and what initially appears to be a tragic accident quickly becomes a complex case involving deception, hidden secrets within institutions, and difficult ethical choices.

With time running out and relationships falling apart, Detective Crane has to solve a murder while also dealing with the complicated and often cutthroat dynamics within her team.

Season seven of Brassic will premiere on Sky and NOW on 25 September.
