It’s about time Pluto TV started adding the Star Trek films to their service
As a lifelong Star Trek enthusiast who’s spent countless hours warping through the galaxy and debating the finer points of Klingon philosophy, I can’t help but feel like my dreams have finally come true with this latest development! Having grown up watching The Original Series on reruns and later falling in love with the subsequent series, it feels surreal to see all four shows and now all 13 films available for free on Pluto TV.
Star Trek boasts an extensive collection of films and series, with its original show from 60 years ago still regarded as some of the finest narrative work ever produced. The subsequent series like The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, and Voyager, released almost three decades later, were equally successful in captivating audiences. In fact, Paramount Global has made all these shows available on their ad-supported streaming platform, Pluto TV.
I absolutely adore this streaming service! It’s become a constant companion in my busy life, offering a fantastic selection of content that caters to every mood and preference. With its vast library, I can either choose something specific or simply surf through channels, much like flipping through radio stations when I was younger. This service is perfect for those nights when you just want to unwind and not have to think too much about what to watch. However, it’s also great when I’m in the mood for something that really grabs my attention and takes me on a journey. The convenience and variety it offers make it an essential part of my life.
As a die-hard Star Trek fan who grew up watching the original series and spending countless hours immersed in the futuristic world of the Federation, I can confidently say that this service is a must-have for any Trekkie like myself. Being able to have access to all four shows from the franchise’s history at my fingertips feels like a dream come true. The convenience of being able to watch episodes 24/7, especially newer ones, makes it even more enticing. I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement knowing that by subscribing to Paramount+, I will be able to continue exploring the vast and diverse universe that Star Trek has to offer. This service truly feels like a lifeline for fans like me who never want to leave the final frontier!
Mostly though, it just has the old shows.
Yet, now, the service will start showing all 13 Star Trek films. That includes;
- Star Trek The Motion Picture
- Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
- Star Trek III: The Search for Spock
- Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
- Star Trek V: The Final Frontier
- Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country
- Star Trek Generations
- Star Trek: First Contact
- Star Trek: Inserruection
- Star Trek: Nemesis
- Star Trek (2009)
- Star Trek: Into Darkness
- Star Trek: Beyond
It’s high time we see the compilation of all 13 original Star Trek movies, and this addition provides Star Trek enthusiasts with no less than four separate channels to quench their Star Trek thirst whenever they desire.
