Pennywise will be back in season 2, and it looks like his new wave of terror might be even more frightening than the killings he unleashed in the first season, IT: Welcome to Derry.
During a recent interview with ScreenRant at the 2026 Saturn Awards, Andy Muschietti, co-creator and executive producer of IT: Welcome to Derry, revealed that the second season is currently being developed. While he kept details limited, Muschietti promised the new season will be even more impressive than the first.
