‘It Is Terrifying.’ Kim Raver Hypes Grey’s Anatomy Season Finale, And I Already Know It’s Going To Frustrate Me

This week, “Grey’s Anatomy” returns to TV schedules following a short break, but sadly, Season 21 will end soon with only three episodes remaining. It seems that showrunner Meg Marinis and the team are preparing for a major catastrophe as we approach the summer hiatus. In fact, Kim Raver referred to Episode “How Do I Live” as “terrifying,” which leads me to believe I’ll be left shaking my head in disbelief.

On the hit show “Grey’s Anatomy,” actress Kim Raver, portraying Chief of Surgery Teddy Altman, has been immersed in a fair share of drama this season. This is largely due to the appearance of guest star Sophia Bush as Dr. Cass Beckman, who has posed quite a challenge to Teddy’s marriage with Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd). Yet, Teddy’s open relationships and steamy encounters might not be at the forefront of the surgeons’ thoughts, as Raver teased about the upcoming finale to TV Insider.

This production is remarkably thrilling, leaving viewers gripped to their seats as they watch. It’s like the ultimate climax, flawlessly crafted and written, providing an excellent foundation for Season 22. I’m genuinely astounded by [Meg Marinis’] talent for creating a jaw-dropping cliffhanger on every level.

In simpler terms, Kim Raver’s statement suggests that the final episode will be packed with unresolved storylines and, given my familiarity with Grey’s Anatomy, at least one character hanging precariously between life and death. The anticipation for the Season 22 premiere, which is expected in October, is already making me anxious.

So what do we know about what will go down in “How Do I Live”? According to the episode synopsis:

On any regular day at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, the interns eagerly anticipate their advancement to second-year residency. However, today’s routine is disrupted as a sudden and critical medical situation arises in the operating room, putting lives within the hospital at risk.

It’s possible that Piper Perabo’s character from Grey’s Anatomy could be at the center of a season-ending crisis. Perabo has been confirmed for a recurring role in the final three episodes of Season 21, portraying Jenna Gatlin, a mother whose young daughter requires a high-risk surgery. Could it be that her character’s storyline will lead to the unfolding of a critical medical situation?

There’s about two more weeks until we receive that answer. In the next episode titled “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone,” Winston (Anthony Hill) and Jules (Adelaide Kane) will butt heads over managing a patient’s family, likely fueling their growing romantic tension. Additionally, Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington) and Link (Chris Carmack) will grapple with wedding preparations.

Make sure not to skip the premiere of Season 21’s finale when Grey’s Anatomy airs at 10 p.m. ET on Thursday, May 1st, exclusively on ABC and accessible for streaming the following day if you have a Hulu subscription. If you’d like to catch up on the previous 20 seasons, they can be streamed with a Netflix subscription.
