People close to the actor are reporting that he declared “it’s a battlefield” and “all pretense of politeness is now absent,” following Isla’s public disclosure about the challenges they were facing during their split.

In an interview with a Sunday magazine during the promotional tour for the new Bridget Jones film, Isla revealed that she relied on her close female companions for emotional support throughout her separation.
