As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for interpreting celebrity lives, I must say that Isla Fisher’s recent lighthearted swipe at her ex-husband Sacha Baron Cohen is nothing short of inspiring. It’s not every day we see a public figure handling a difficult situation with such grace and humor.

In a fresh ad for Air New Zealand, Isla Fisher seems to playfully poke fun at her former partner.

This year in April, the Australian actress (who is now 48) parted ways with her 14-year partner, the well-known British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, officially ending their marriage.

In the advertisement, during their flight journey, Isla makes friends with a little girl, only to encounter her father upon disembarking at the airport terminal.

Child: Dad, I’ve just met a new friend. Could we arrange for her to join us for a playdate sometime?

‘I’d love that,’ the dad says when he spots Isla approach, who then flirts back, ‘How about now?’

Towards the conclusion of the ad, Isla can be heard questioning the girl whether her father is traveling alone too. The girl responds with a nod, saying “Uh-huh”.

It seems the phrase “flying solo” is a playful reference to Isla’s current single state following her breakup, as suggested by her latest release.

Isla has been living it up after recently announcing the couple’s split.

During June, she appeared radiantly happy while engaging in humor and camaraderie with the handsome British actor Ben Barnes at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, marking the eighth day of Wimbledon.

In a lively chat with an actor from The Chronicles of Narnia series, the recently single celebrity tossed her head back and laughed heartily from her seat behind him.

Isla and Sacha announced in April that they had quietly separated last year.

They revealed their exciting news by posting a photo of them both dressed in tennis attire, implying that their union was like a successful game of tennis.

After more than two decades of intense tennis play, I’ve made the decision to hang up my racquet for good. It’s time to step off the court and explore new avenues in my lifestyle journey.

In the year 2023, we mutually decided to legally dissolve our marriage. Over the years, we have valued and protected our personal space. Consequently, we’ve been navigating this transition discreetly.

‘Our commitment and affection towards our kids is unwavering. We genuinely ask that you honor our family’s preference for confidentiality.’

The now estranged pair met at a party in Australia in 2002 before getting engaged in 2004.

Prior to their wedding in Paris, France, in March 2010, the person (Fisher) who found meeting the actor as exhilarating as winning a lottery, chose to embrace Judaism. The ceremony was a traditional Jewish one.

In December 2020, ten years after this event, they decided to reside in Sydney. Prior to that, they had spent time divided between the United States and the United Kingdom. Later on, they moved to Western Australia.

In 2021, Fisher, who had been living in Perth since the age of six, shared with Stellar magazine that she feels more secure in her home country, Australia.

She mentioned that Australia feels incredibly comfortable and secure, almost like a comforting home, because it’s where she was raised.

My true contentment shines brightest at home, and whenever I’m away, a longing for it fills me. In Australia, I experience a sense of freedom that eliminates any feeling of obligation – there, I simply am, without the need to perform or prove myself.

‘I mean, I don’t even have to wear shoes.’

Additionally, there were accounts suggesting that the political climate in the U.S. might have played a role in their decision to move.

An insider informed Sydney Morning Herald in January 2021 that they chose not to bring up their children in the environment of America under President Trump.
