Is there a season 2 of Hunting Wives? This is what we know about “twisty” drama that hooked fans

Netflix has ordered another season of The Hunting Wives, and Brittany Snow and Malin Akerman will be back as the main characters.

Sophie and Margo are currently not speaking, but they’ll be forced to team up again when past secrets and new enemies surface. As they navigate this risky situation, it becomes unclear whether they are the ones in control or the ones being targeted.

We don’t have a confirmed release date yet, but the people making the show are really excited about it. Last November, one of the stars, Snow, posted a picture from the set with the message: “Hello everyone! We’re back for more! This isn’t a peace sign, it’s the start of filming Season 2!” She also tagged the show’s accounts on Netflix.

Rebecca Cutter, the show’s executive producer, shared with Tudum that she’s thrilled to revisit these compelling characters and promises another wild, thrilling, and unpredictable season set in Maple Brook.

Based on May Cobb’s popular novel, The Hunting Wives takes place in the made-up town of Maple Brook, Texas. The first season centers around Sophie O’Neil, who moves there with her husband, Graham (played by Evan Jonigkeit), hoping for a new beginning after leaving Cambridge, Massachusetts.

I was totally hooked by the story of Sophie, who was trying to adjust to a new town and life. She quickly became fascinated with Margo Banks, this glamorous socialite who happened to be married to her husband’s boss. But getting close to Margo and her friends – they called themselves the Hunting Wives – pulled Sophie into something really dark and twisted, full of secrets, intense obsessions, and even…murder! It was a wild ride.

Several actors from the first season are returning, including Evan Jonigkeit, Dermot Mulroney, Jaime Ray Newman, and George Ferrier. Joining them for season two is John Stamos, best known from Full House, who will play the character Chase Brylan. The cast will also feature some new faces.

The cast also includes Dale Dickey (known from My Name Is Earl and Breaking Bad), Cam Gigandet (Twilight, Burlesque), Kim Matula (The Bold and the Beautiful), and Alex Fitzalan (The Society).

I just finished watching The Hunting Wives – it originally came out on Netflix here in the US, but over in the UK, it’s now streaming on ITVX. All eight episodes dropped on December 27th, so it’s available to binge-watch now!

Netflix hasn’t announced when season two of The Hunting Wives will be available yet. You can currently watch season one on Netflix in the US, and on ITVX in the UK.

The latest issue of Living Legends is out now, and it’s dedicated to the incredible Dolly Parton! You can find “Dolly at 80” at newsagents and online for only £8.99.
