Cher attended her son Chaz Bono’s wedding at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on Sunday, and she arrived wearing some eye-catching jewelry.
The 79-year-old singer, nearing the coveted EGOT status with only a Tony Award left to win, was seen with a large, approximately five-carat diamond ring, as well as a substantial diamond band on her left hand.
Cher, whose full name is Cherilyn Sarkisian, has been seeing Alexander ‘A.E.’ Edwards, a Sony Music Publishing executive, since 2022. He is 40 years younger than her, at age 39.
If the relationship continues, the singer would become the stepmother to Slash, the six-year-old son of the record label president, from his previous relationship with Amber Rose, which ended in 2021.
Cher’s rep declined to comment on her relationship status.
I saw him arrive – a local guy with Armenian heritage – pulling up to the venue in a big black SUV. He was still dressed down, super casual, which was a bit unexpected for such a historic Hollywood spot.
Cher paired a pink top with black star-spangled hoodie, sparkly cargo pants, and matching shoes, and carried a glittering black bag.

The powerful singer was probably delighted to witness the wedding of the 57-year-old transgender pioneer and his partner of nine years, Shara Blue Mathes. The ceremony took place in a hotel ballroom decorated with an altar of red roses.
It’s always heartbreaking to lose a parent, and for Bono, that happened back in 1998 when his father, Sonny Bono, tragically passed away. He was only 62, and it was a ski accident – he unfortunately hit a tree while skiing. It was a sudden and devastating loss, and I remember it being such a shock to everyone.
Cher and her husband, who was once the mayor of Palm Springs and later a congressman, divorced in 1975. They had been separated for three years, and the divorce followed his unfaithfulness and attempts to control her.
Cher divorced her second husband, Gregg Allman, in 1979 after three years together. The split was caused by his struggles with alcohol and heroin addiction.
On February 27th, Elijah Allman, son of Cher and the late Gregg Allman, was arrested at a private school in New Hampshire. He faces charges of two counts of simple assault, plus one count each of criminal trespass, making threats, and disturbing the peace.
In 2023, the singer of ‘Found Someone’ attempted to gain legal control over the 49-year-old, but a judge rejected the request in 2024. The judge cited claims that the man was now sober, financially stable, and capable of handling his inheritance.
The second part of Cher’s autobiography, titled Cher: The Memoir, Part Two, will be released by William Morrow Large Print on November 17th. The book is 480 pages long.
The singer, who jokingly calls himself ‘lazy’ and has 12.9 million monthly listeners on Spotify, has sold more than 100 million albums as a solo artist, and another 40 million with his former partner, Cher.
