It’s clear that Irv has been transparent about his health issues. He admitted on the Drink Champs podcast last year that he hasn’t been able to effectively manage his diabetes yet.

He stated that it’s widespread among African Americans, and its effect is that it gradually weakens your physical condition.

‘I’ve been diagnosed with diabetes forever; it’s hereditary. 

Whenever my blood glucose spikes excessively, I administer an insulin injection. This situation can be rectified, but it necessitates a change in dietary habits – particularly watchful eating patterns.
