Iron Roads challenges you to build an efficient rail network and keep passengers smiling, arriving on iOS in February 12, 2026

Story Highlights

  • Iron Roads focuses on smart, board game-inspired train management rather than realistic tycoon simulation.
  • The game offers 3 game modes, reactive environments, minimalistic interface, trains, technologies, performance graphs, and more.
  • The world dynamically responds to your choices, while letting you climb the leaderboards, enjoy hand-crafted experiences, and more.

Cowleyfornia Studios is releasing its new train management game, Iron Roads, on iOS on February 12th. They’ve also been testing the game on Android, but haven’t announced a release date for that platform yet.

Get ready to build a rail network to connect animal passengers with towns and factories

Iron Roads is a train-focused game inspired by board games, but it’s different from typical business or tycoon simulations. Instead of complex economics, you’ll focus on building a smooth-running train network by laying track, purchasing trains, and planning routes to transport passengers and goods between cities and industries.

The world is now populated only by animals, but they’re hesitant to venture beyond their towns. Your train system is vital for their survival and growth. Be prepared for challenges like delays, overcrowding, and dealing with frustrated passengers.

You can try multiple game modes, earn tokens, enjoy unique stories, and more

The game offers three ways to play: Endless mode, Scenarios, and Monthly challenges. In Endless mode, you earn rewards for skillful gameplay that can unlock new maps. Scenarios provide a more curated experience with unique stories and features, and seem like the most engaging option.

This game was well worth the wait, clearly inspired by popular titles like Mini Metro and Opus Magnum. It offers a lot to do, with a clean, simple interface and detailed performance tracking. I’m really excited to manage deliveries, unlock new trains and technologies, and enjoy the unique soundtrack created by the trains, passengers, and original music.

Iron Roads will be available on iOS starting February 12th, but it’s not yet showing up in the App Store. We’ll share more information about the Android release date soon, so keep an eye out for updates.
