Irem Collection Volume 2 Bundles GunForce I & II and Air Duel for Xbox This November
As a seasoned arcade enthusiast with memories of countless quarters spent in dimly lit game rooms, I can hardly contain my excitement for the imminent arrival of Irem Collection Volume 2! Growing up, GunForce and its sequel were staples at my local arcade, providing hours of thrilling, side-scrolling, co-op action that still resonates with me today. The addition of Air Duel to this collection is the cherry on top, transporting me back to the cockpit of a fighter jet in a heartbeat!
ININ Games has revealed that Irem Collection Volume 2 is set to release within the next couple of weeks, continuing on from last year’s Volume 1. The latter assembled Image Fight, Image Fight 2, and X Multiply. In this sequel, they have gathered another trio of ’90s arcade favorites.
This collection also features dynamic duo-player action games like GunForce and GunForce II, available on both SNES and arcade platforms. To top it off, Air Duel is included, where you assume the role of a World Defense Force pilot, engaging in combat against the DAS organization from within a fighter jet or attack helicopter cockpit.
The trio of games offers local multiplayer, a rewind function, save points, and an old-school mode where you can compete for top scores on the global leaderboard. Irem Collection Volume 2 is set to release on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch on November 14th, with a price tag of $24.99 or €24.99.
