Invincible star teases season 3 "gets really dark," may be coming in early 2025

As a die-hard fan of “Invincible,” I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and impatience as we eagerly await the release of season 3. The cliffhanger ending of season 2 left us on the edge of our seats, with the war against the Viltrumites reaching a critical point and Mark Grayson making the decision to stay on Earth rather than lead the fight.

The second season of Amazon Prime Video’s “Invincible” came to an end this year, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the next installment. Fortunately, the production process has been smoother this time around, so we won’t have to wait too long – new episodes are projected to release in 2025.

Based on my extensive experience following the entertainment industry and the specific project in question, I believe there is a strong possibility that the upcoming season of the show will premiere earlier than previously anticipated. This assumption is not only based on my own analysis but also on information shared by actors associated with the production.

Without discussing specific release dates, Tatasciore previewed what lies ahead in the third installment of the series. In the finale of season 2, the battle against the Viltrumites reaches a turning point. Omni-Man has deserted his people, leaving Mark Grayson on Earth to prepare it for Viltrumite invasion; a role he’s unwilling to assume. As we move into season 3, tensions will escalate, leading to what could be the darkest chapter in the show’s history. “Things take a grim turn,” Tatasciore hinted, “each character will undergo significant growth.”

He went on to share that this season will delve deeper into the characters’ human aspects rather than portraying them as mere superheroes. In other words, we can anticipate watching the characters grow and evolve as individuals, not just superpowered beings. The storyline may get quite dark, allowing us to witness Eve’s development, among others, and explore what it truly means to be human in this world. Does that make sense?

He can’t provide specific details due to the restrictive non-disclosure agreement with Amazon Prime Video, making his response rather ambiguous. “I long to disclose a great deal to you, but I must exercise caution.”

You can easily watch Seasons 1 and 2 of “Invincible” on Amazon Prime Video right now. An often overlooked bonus is the Atom Eve Special episode where Fred Tatasciore brilliantly portrays Eve’s father. Give it a look!
