Even though critics haven’t been kind to it, the action comedy The Family Plan 2 is proving popular on Apple TV+. Mark Wahlberg is back as Dan Morgan, a former government hitman trying to balance family life, this time taking his loved ones on a trip to London.
A character from his past, portrayed by Kit Harington of Game of Thrones, unexpectedly appears with some unresolved issues.
Dan and his family find themselves in a thrilling, globe-trotting adventure filled with bank robberies, chaotic holiday mishaps, and exciting car chases across beautiful European landscapes, all while navigating their family dynamics.

Since its release last week, The Family Plan 2 has quickly become the most popular movie on Apple TV around the world. The first Family Plan movie from 2023 is currently in second place, according to FlixPatrol.
Although audiences seem to enjoy the sequel, critics haven’t been as impressed. It currently has a 38% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 24 reviews.

According to Pajiba, the movie prioritizes fast pacing and visuals over a strong story or well-developed characters. They describe it as energetic and well-made, but ultimately not particularly memorable – which, the site notes, is exactly what the film aims for.
Critics weren’t impressed with The Family Plan 2. RogerEbert.com said it was even worse than the first film, calling it lazy, predictable, and lacking in exciting action. The Hollywood Reporter simply described it as unbelievably silly.
The film, skillfully directed by Simon Cellan Jones, moves at such a brisk pace that its familiar pattern quickly feels comfortable and enjoyable, like sinking into a cozy chair with a drink.

ScreenRant strongly criticized the movie, calling it incredibly bad and unfunny to the point of being disturbing. They compared watching it to sitting through a two-hour advertisement.
So, I’m thinking about getting Apple TV, and it looks like they have a pretty sweet deal for new players like me. You can try it out for seven days completely free, or if you buy a new Apple device – like an iPhone, iPad, or Mac – you can get three months on the house! After that, it’s £9.99 a month. They also have bundles with Apple One, and my mobile provider – EE, Three, or T-Mobile – might have some offers too. I’ll have to check out all the details to see what’s best for me.
Apple currently has a Black Friday offer: you can get Apple services for just £4.99 a month for six months. This deal is available until Cyber Monday, December 1st.
The Family Plan 2 is streaming now on Apple TV.
The latest issue of Living Legends is now available! You can purchase Ariana & Witches at newsagents or online for only £8.99.
