Insiders reveal TV feud brewing between Sam Armytage and ‘rising star’ at a rival network ahead of must-win ratings battle: INSIDE MAIL

Two well-known reality TV series, each with a rich history, are set to compete directly in television ratings, and it’s rumored that one of their presenters is starting to feel a bit of friendly competition.

Sam Armytage is hosting The Golden Bachelor on Channel Nine, interestingly enough, amidst her own golden-stage divorce following her separation from husband Richard Lavender last year.

Currently, the up-and-coming talent Mel Tracina is reintroducing the classic show Big Brother. This time, it’s making a comeback to the renowned Dreamworld house as part of a nostalgic strategy by Ten.

All eyes will be on both shows when they launch around November.

Sam has been observed giving anxious looks over the aisle towards Mel, who is often referred to as the rising star of television by many, following her early success on Ten’s The Cheap Seats.

‘There’s a lot riding on this series for Sam,’ says a well-placed insider.

She’s accustomed to holding the leading role, as her successful tenure hosting ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’ on Seven demonstrates. Therefore, it’s understandable that she wouldn’t relish the idea of being surpassed by a newcomer like Mel.

So, which show is going to be better?

We had a chat with a person from Channel 9 who watched a preliminary version of the promo for The Golden Bachelor. They claimed it was ‘truly outstanding’, but one might wonder if they’d praise it so highly, given their position.

As for Big Brother, Ten is banking on the contestants.

According to a source, if the housemates are lively, humorous, and extraordinary, it might mark a record-breaking return in the realm of reality television.

Let the games begin.

Truth-seeking bogans

There’s nothing a true-blue Aussie bogan loves more than sticking it to the ‘MSM’.

This week, enthusiasts of the ‘Bogans’ Instagram account celebrated a win after they caught sight of a Channel Seven journalist filming a roadside report that was, in fact, misleading information or what is often referred to as ‘false news’!

A bystander’s video captured a moment when a journalist was recording a segment about a paraglider who had an accident at Stanwell Park, Wollongong. The unfortunate incident resulted in the paraglider only sustaining an injury to their shoulder.

The journalist strategically placed themselves in front of a backlight displaying emergency vehicle colors, giving the impression that paramedics were hidden from view. This staging added a touch of suspense to their report.

Misleading? We’ll let you decide.

Earlier in the day, emergency vehicles with flashing lights were present at the scene, and journalists managed to capture footage of the pilot expressing gratitude towards the paramedics who had aided him.

However, this finding didn’t deter the casual Aussies from asserting that the video was undeniable evidence – they believed it validated their conviction that all news is fabricated and that they are being deceived.

Some viewers got so overexcited they tracked down the reporter and sent threats.

As the individual recording the event requested tranquility, a passionate nationalist interjected, “Long overdue are the repercussions for those so-called journalists who deceive us with their false reports.

Charming.

Some things never change

It’s nice to see SBS is still living up to its ’90s nickname ‘Sex Before Soccer’.

Last week, our sophisticated in-laws from Mail visited us, so we changed to the varied, intellectual programs on SBS On Demand for a change during the middle of the week.

Quelle horreur! We discovered the ad-supported streamer was a cesspool of smut.

Additionally, the landing page showcased an option titled ‘Reserve a Room’, which presented contemporary novels with romantic undertones like ‘My Mistress’, ‘Fidelity’, ‘The Sexual Lives of Angels’, and ‘The Girlfriend Experience’.

However, surprisingly, some of the spicy movies, along with others like them, turned up in a different, unexpectedly prominent section as well.

Most watched.
