Tommy Lee Jones’ daughter, Victoria, who sadly passed away recently, followed in her father’s footsteps and became an actress. She even appeared in a film alongside him early in her career.
Victoria tragically died at the age of 34 in a San Francisco hotel on New Year’s Day, in the early morning hours.
According to a source at The Daily Mail, investigators found no evidence of wrongdoing, injuries, or drug use at the scene. There was also nothing to suggest Victoria died by suicide.
Victoria hasn’t been on camera for over a decade, but she used to be an aspiring actress. Early in her career, she even had a small part in the 2002 film Men In Black II, which starred her father.
Victoria started her acting career in a comedy film, where she played a character in a family whose house was secretly used to hide weapons by spies.
In a short but striking scene, she was watching TV with the actors playing her parents when agents suddenly entered, collecting hidden weapons from the living room.

Victoria and her shocked family on television could only watch as the group gathered their belongings, moments before secret agents erased their memories.
It would not be the first time Victoria would appear in a production featuring her father.
Victoria then appeared in her father’s 2005 drama, The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, playing a character described as an ‘immigrant girl’ on her IMDb page.
That year, Victoria also had small roles in two other shows. She played a person who was mugged in the drama Sorry, Haters, which featured Robin Wright, and appeared as a cheerleader in an episode of One Tree Hill.
Victoria’s last role was in the 2014 film The Homesman, which starred and was directed by her dad.
According to her IMDb, her role was that of ‘Woman (Hebron).’
Following his work directing his daughter in the film The Three Burials of Melquiades, Tommy Lee Jones spoke highly of Victoria in an interview about the movie.
He described her as a talented actress with professional credentials and fluent Spanish. He explained that when she was an infant, he asked her nanny, Leticia, to always speak to her in Spanish.
He shared a sweet story about helping his 14-year-old daughter adjust to the demanding environment of a Hollywood film set.
She had to wake up at 5 a.m. to prepare for her role. One day, she simply refused to get out of bed. “This is her job,” I told her, but she wouldn’t move,” he explained to the New Yorker.
I let her go, but then the production team, without my knowledge, woke her up and hurried her to the set just in time, he remembered.

Even though she hasn’t appeared in a movie since The Homesman, she’s still occasionally joined Jones on red carpets as an adult.
In 2017, she happily joined him on the red carpet at the Hollywood premiere of his film, Just Getting Started, which also featured Morgan Freeman and Rene Russo.
In October, she joined her father at the Tokyo International Film Festival’s opening ceremony. He was leading the international jury at the festival that year.
Heartbreakingly, Victoria was found dead on New Year’s Day at just age 34.
At 2:52 AM on Thursday, the San Francisco Fire Department received a call for medical assistance at the Fairmont San Francisco hotel, according to a statement to the Daily Mail.

First responders arrived and confirmed that one person had died at the location. Police and medical examiners from San Francisco are investigating, but the reason for the death is currently unclear.
According to a source who spoke with the Daily Mail, a woman in her mid-30s was found unresponsive at a hotel. Hotel staff were notified, and CPR was attempted, but paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene. The woman has been identified as Victoria.
TMZ first reported the news, stating that police took over the scene after she was declared dead.
Jones greeted Victoria and his son, Austin, 42, as well as his second wife, Kimberlea Cloughley, whom he was married to from 1981 until their divorce in 1996.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, officers responded to a hotel on Mason Street around 3:14 a.m. on January 1, 2026, after receiving a report of a death.

Police responding to the scene found medics had already pronounced a woman dead. The Medical Examiner investigated the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the San Francisco Police Department at 415-575-4444 or send a text tip to TIP411, starting the message with ‘SFPD’.
According to a source at The Daily Mail, Victoria was found lying on the floor of the 14th story at the Fairmont hotel in San Francisco. A guest, believing she may have been intoxicated, notified hotel staff.
The staff quickly noticed Victoria wasn’t responding, so they immediately began CPR and called 911.
I still can’t believe it. They said the fire department got a call at 2:52 AM – a medical emergency. They tried everything they could to save her, right there, but… but it wasn’t enough. They pronounced Victoria dead at the scene. It just… it doesn’t seem real.
Investigators found no evidence of a crime, like injuries, and no drugs were found at the scene. There was also nothing to suggest Victoria died by suicide.
According to a source at the Daily Mail, it’s still unknown if Victoria was a hotel guest or how she ended up on the 14th floor.
