Inside social media star’s fairytale film themed engagement – as quirky detail from the lavish party leaves many stunned

A popular content creator has celebrated her engagement with an extravagant fairytale themed party.

Mehtap Karakus, along with her partner Ugurcan Boz, the duo behind Instagram account Wearearada, organized an extravagant celebration in Turkey to mark their engagement.

The grand occasion, scheduled for two months, unfolded at Mehtap’s ancestral farmhouse, offering an idyllic setting adorned with lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and breathtaking mountain vistas.

On her special day, Mehtap shone elegantly, donning a lengthy pink gown adorned with flowers, much like the one her mother wore at her own wedding, while she gracefully danced with her future spouse, draped in a floral crown.

In her photograph, a massive castle stood as a backdrop, and separate pictures featured her interacting with both Shrek and Cinderella.

Behind her in the picture, there was an impressive castle, whereas other images showed her alongside Shrek and Cinderella.

Instead, it’s been acknowledged by Mehtap that certain unexpected aspects within the photos took several of her social media audience members aback.

She shared with the Daily Mail that some aspects of her content were entirely fabricated. Given that her work is generated by AI, she presumed her audience would identify this, but many followers found it difficult to distinguish reality from fiction.

‘I guess this time my images looked a little too realistic… I have to admit that!

As a lifestyle enthusiast, let me share a fun anecdote with you! While the enchanting castle, stunning Cinderella staircase, and mischievous Shrek may seem like scenes from a fairy tale, they are actually digital wonders added to enhance our magical moment. In truth, our captivating dance photo was captured right in our own garden, but with a touch of creativity, I transported us to the grandeur of a royal ball, making every step and twirl feel like a dream come true!

She added: ‘Moreover, the topic itself was genuine – I aimed for it to evoke a sense of a magical fairy tale.’

Mehtap also revealed the unique touches she incorporated into her special day.

In my expertise, I’d describe the charming decor of our dessert spread as follows: it’s adorned with a warm, rustic touch, featuring wooden elements, gleaming silver plates, elegant silver candlesticks, and a delicate lace tablecloth that my mother herself meticulously embroidered in her youth.

The engagement rings, in keeping with our custom, were secured with a ribbon and set on a wooden platter embellished with live greenery. At the ceremony, an elder from our family would typically cut the ribbon as a sign of blessings.

‘I also added two little squirrels holding a hazelnut to represent me and my fiancé.’

As a devoted enthusiast, I’ve always nurtured a fascination for fairy tales. I use my social media platform to regularly stir my creative spirit.

If I keep creating fairy tales, why not step into the role of the heroine myself occasionally? The notion of others perceiving me as a ‘secret princess’ while crafting these stories had an enchanting allure to it, she confessed.

Mehtap said guests were encouraged to wear spring colours, ‘but absolutely no black’ was allowed.

In a traditional sense, it’s customary for brides to wear white during an engagement ceremony. However, since I opted for pink, quite a few guests ended up wearing white instead, as she clarified.

It can be quite challenging to ensure everyone matches their outfits, so I decided to go for a simpler approach, avoiding excessive formality.
